Very old temple. According to legend this was the temple for Godess Meenakshi before the big one was built.

By the ancient scriptures it was told that this temple is the first temple for Meenakshi amman and chockkanadhar. This temple is said to be built by IDAIKKATTUCHITHAR. This temple is the AHAYASTHALAM for lord shiva. Situated in a very congested place,so no parking area. Very good vibrations prevail here.
