Radha Binod Temple,a great architecture. Located on the bank of the river Ajoy.

Great architecture and design with terracotta. But a resting place with good washroom is very much needed at the time of journey. At fair (Poush Mela) no hygine is maintained there. Stinking atmosphere with human wastes on the bank of dead looking Ajoy River hurts our mind.

A very old beautiful temple with terracotta work. Famous for Sanskrit poet Jayadeva, who would worship here...it's the heritage of Birbhum.

Joydev Temple, built by Kirtichand Bahadur of Bardhaman, keeping its heritage from 1683 AD onwards, is a sacred place to visit.The 10 incarnations of Vishnu and various scene from the Ramayana is engraved in the bricks of the temple.

The main attraction of Joydeb. Kenduli Mela at Makar Sankrati where lakhs of people assembled.

One of the oldest temple of West Bengal, at present maintain by Archaeological Survey of India. The teracota plates of the temple are remarkable.

Very Good Place

Place with a Lot of Historical values - claimed to be the Birthplace of Kabi Joydeb !

Very beautiful mela is held here. All the baul singers are coming here for hearing us their beautiful voice. Every year in Makarsankranti, sitting this fair. Many people comes from far away to injoy this mela and for listening baul song. Then all around this temple sitting many restaurent, shops, sweet disesh., Jelebi etc . Two big Merry go round are sitting here.and all the people are enjoy very much.

It shows the past Bengali heritage and religious statement. The temple built in the memory of Pandit Kabi Joydev, who wrote the famous 'Gita Govinda' ( Love for Lord Krishna) in the 12th century AD. The temple was built in the 17th century. Mud bricks depicting the Bishnu Avatars are still there. Very delicate works are still there in and outside of the walls. Daily puja(offering) are done here by local Devotees (Sebayeet).

Excellent terracotta art work on temple panels. Ramayana epic and floral design on terracotta relief. Must visit this place for half an hour.

This is a very ancient place. The place of worship of kavi jayadev.... He used to worship radha Madhava deities. But now they have radha vinod deities.
