Shiv Shakti Dham, Durgapur

The temple in Gopalmath, Durgapur is a place of great beauty and tranquility, offering a peaceful environment for meditation and worship. The serene surroundings of the temple are truly captivating. The temple grounds are spacious and well-maintained. Its architecture displays impressive craftsmanship both inside and outside.

Devotees can participate in the morning Aarti (a ritual offering of light to deities) and enjoy Prasad (sacramental food). The temple closes for a brief period after this morning session and reopens in the afternoon, allowing visitors to continue their spiritual journey.

The temple operates during the following hours: 8:30 am to 11:30 am and 5 pm to 7 pm. Adjacent to the temple, there are a few shops where you can purchase various puja items and essentials for your worship.

Near the main entrance of the temple, there is a serene pond. Devotees can use this pond to cleanse their hands and feet before entering the temple premises. Additionally, there are facilities for drinking water to ensure the comfort and convenience of visitors.

A beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The design and architecture of this temple is unique. Whole area has been maintained properly and its neat & clean.
Proper facility has been provided for washing hands and feet. Along with this drinking water facility also provided to the devotees.
There is a two wheeler parking lot and small shoe stand where you can park your bike and put your shoes after paying a certain amount of charge.
The best time for visit is during the evening. The temple looks quite beautiful with those colorful lights. But Sundays can be crowdy. Prasad is served around 7:00 PM in the evening and after that the temple will be closed.

I would also like to bring to the notice of the readers that majority of the people who visit this temple are busy in taking selfies and photos. Yes, you have the right to take photos but the focus should be mainly upon the God. Because a temple is a place where we come to seek help and advise from God, not to show off our status in any social media. There is a limit to every kind of action we do. Taking photos of the idol must be strictly prohibited by the authorities. I saw many people taking selfie with the idol, by facing backwards towards the God which is not at all appropriate.
People must respect the culture that we have maintained through out ages.

A beautiful and spiritual place where you may learn more about your own culture.
The place is beautifully organized, designed and maintained.
The pandit within the temple are very humble and down to earth and provide you with prasad and pushp.

The lightings within the temple are a great sight to see during the eve and once you visit there you may visit regularly. That's the best part of shivji🙏🏻

My visit to the temple was a truly divine and awe-inspiring experience. From the moment I stepped inside the temple, I could feel a sense of peace and tranquility washing over me. The temple was beautifully decorated with intricate carvings and vibrant colors, creating a sacred and welcoming atmosphere.

We have visited with our family on Mahashivratri Day. It was heavily crowded due to the holy day but somehow we got the chance to enter into the sanctum santorum of the temple. I was struck by the unique beauty of the shiv-ling. We offered jal to the shivling.

Overall, my visit to the temple was an amazing and unforgettable experience. I left feeling spiritually rejuvenated and inspired, and I can't wait to go back and experience the divine energy again. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a peaceful and meaningful experience to visit this temple.

It's a place of serenity and spirituality, where devotees can find solace and connect with the divine. The atmosphere is so peaceful and tranquil, it's easy to lose yourself in contemplation and reflection. This temple is not only a magnificent work of art but a symbol of devotion and reverence towards Lord Shiva. A truly stunning creation!🙏
Very beautiful temple. And also very peaceful. The is a aarati that happens every evening. And that is very pleasent. And after that arati Prasad is distributed to all the devotees present without any cost. The architecture of the building is in the style of Rajasthani temples and is very beautiful.
It is a beautiful temple, newly built. The atmosphere is very good here. A little bit crowded after evening. But it is maintained well. As it is newly built, they systemically do the process of visiting the place. The got awesome lighting too.

Nestled in the heart of Gopalmath, Durgapur, Shiv Shakti Dham stands as an oasis of tranquility and spiritual rejuvenation. From my recent visit, it's clear that this sacred sanctuary offers more than just a religious experience; it is a gateway to inner peace and self-discovery.

Upon entering, one is instantly struck by the serene ambiance, an intangible calm that permeates the air. The meticulously crafted surroundings seem to echo the very essence of spirituality, ensuring that each visitor feels a profound connection with the divine and, equally importantly, with their inner self.

Evening brings a magical transformation to Shiv Shakti Dham. As the sun sets, the temple facade, bathed in a soft luminescence, becomes a sight to behold. The play of lights, combined with the gentle chants and the distant sound of temple bells, adds a surreal beauty to the place. It's not just an experience for the eyes but a symphony for the soul.
