Once upon a time I was a student of this college. I passed my BA from here in 2002. It was a long time ago. So, things have changed now. It is easily accessible from all locations of Durgapur. Here, I enjoyed a lot during my college days. A lot of memories and emotions of my college days are connected with this place.

Very very good college, most reputed college in Pashchim Bardhaman district. After my aunt and my father now I'm a student of this college, the campus is very beautiful and full of trees. Enjoy life in DGC❤❤❤

The best college of Durgapur and one of the best in the whole Burdwan district. It's the only govt. college in the district. It is funded and administered by the Government of West Bengal. . It's a co-ed college. Now it is affiliated to Kazi Nazrul University. The college offers 3-year undergraduate degree courses in Arts, Science and Commerce as well as postgraduate courses in Geology, Conservation Biology and Chemistry. It has two section morning and day. Morning section is only for Commerce and the day section is for both Arts and Science. For Commerce students only Accountancy honours and pass course is available. But there are vast of choice for honours subject for Arts and Science students. There are also some post graduate course is available. M. Phil in Geology is also available.

One of the best geology department in West Bengal and equipped with a class facilities. Even the state of art facility for preparing thin section is also available and with advance microscopes overall it's superb!!!!
