Angaara Restaurant Ooty

One of the must visit places in Ooty. We saw this place in a lot of lists and therefore went ahead with it and this place lives up to its name.

The only caveat here is parking but other than that this restaurant has got everything right.

Starting with the menu. They have plenty of options available both on the veg and non-veg side but again non-veg is recommended here.

We ordered chicken manchow soup, alfahm chicken, and mutton biryani. The service is quick. We had our food within 10 mins of ordering although the restaurant was almost empty when we went in. The food is served hot and fresh.

The taste of the food is super. Given the prices, I think both taste and quantity do the justice to the food they serve. And do try their alfahm chicken and mutton biryani. You won't be disappointed.

They also have sweets and desserts which unfortunately we could not try as our tummies were already more than full. The place is clean and they maintain hygiene. The staff is professional and you will have a good time here for sure. Easy recommendation for anyone visiting Ooty.

We ordered lemon coriander soup, veg sizzler, aloo Paratha, egg bhurji, chicken biryani and tandoori. Must mention the veg sizzler. It was a good quantity and great quality servings. All the dishes tasted good and were worth the money. They have reasonably priced dishes. Toilets are clean. The ambience is great. The service was good. Kind staff and timely service. Highly recommended.

Such amazing food and warm service. Refreshingly good customer service experience for a place in this quaint part of the country. Also, the angaara biryani is truly truly delish! A must visit while you’re in Ooty!

Visited this beautiful restaurant while in ooty, Rubina offered us good service with her recommendations of dumplings which were out of menu. Must say the food is tasty and the quantity is very generous. Must visit when in ooty.

Had some good food at this multi-cuisine restaurant. The quantity of the biryani wasn't too much but the taste saved the day. We had Chicken Angara Biryani and Malai Kebabs were good. We visited again and were served by "Akash Ghosh" who was kind, helpful and served us well with a smile.

We are a couple from the UK- amazing food and service. Get the chicken tandoori/tikka if you're non-veg it's so good! The staff are so friendly, gave us great recommendations and were very attentive. Loved everything that much we came 2 nights in a row :D :D

Faulty Service at the table on the top and a messy bathroom with no water is what made me uncomfortable at this restaurant with a good sense of taste in cuisine.

Traveling through Ooty on my bicycle some friends introduced me to this location. What a peaceful oasis with such elegant decor. Excellent service back up the delicious array of choices. Don’t think you could go wrong with any choice 😊

Awesome place in Ooty to have some nice food. Mainly the ambience and cleanliness, including restrooms (top notch). Food was okay, just like any other fine dining fast-food. Service was good, a lot of people to attend and take care of guests, the person who served us, Anees, was very friendly and helpful, he understood our requirement and did the needful. Keep it up team and stay consistently good, that’s my request…

The food here was awesome and I loved it. Best place for vegetarians in Coimbatore. But Service could have been better and I had a long waiting time.

Sathi was our server for the night. She was very helpful and engaged with us. It elevated our dining experience truly. The food was really tasty. The quantity is also a lot which is really good for its price.

Ambience is good, the service is really satisfactory.Every requirement is fully fledged. Coming to food, very good taste with sufficient quantity.
