To reach the place we've to drive for more 20-25 kilometres over hilly roads. The place has it's own glory. You can find lots of stores for buying pooja ingredients, fooding and lodging, and ofcourse the scenery is beautiful 😍.
The temple opens at 11AM. Getting the Darshan of Shiva Lingam is a great feeling in itself. The Shiva Lingam has a great story and it was established by Lord Shiva himself.

The facilities to travel is very good. The rent for single person from lakshman jhula stop to NEELKANTH temple is 150 with share taxi. If you rent your own taxi than you have to give 1100 rupee. And the route is very good condition. This is the main holy place where you can connect to the Lord shiva.

This temple is a well known tourist place. Just like other temples, this one is no exception when it comes to crowd and queues. You have to wait in queues that end at the opening on the other side of the temple but the good thing is that the queue always keeps moving which says a lot about the staff. The shiva linga is the best and everyone gets chance to do abhishek here provided you buy the necessary from the stores outside. Also, the temple is located on a hill that requires you to trek for a kilometre and a half or take a jeep to reach it. The hill is not steep and so it's not difficult to scale. Also if i may say so, the view from on top of the hill is spectacular.

You will see nos. of breathtaking mesmerising views on the way to Neelkanth Mahadev temple. A must visit place.

This temple is 22 km. from Ram Jhula (you have to walk little) on top of the hill. You will get sharing vehicle (Mahindra Maxx) from Ram Jhula. Sharing vehicle charge is only Rs.150/- per head (included return fare). You can also book a cab from same location, it will cost you Rs.1100/-. It takes around 45 to 50 mins to reach one side. Wait time on hill top is max 1 hr, if all sharing cab people come before time to then cab driver will return immediate from there. Hope this review will help.

Beautiful place to neelkantha mahadev mandir. 1.5 hrs from Rishikesh to reach mandir. Suggestion to go by own car.

You can reach here by taxi or bike.....if you stay in Rishikesh you can book individual seat of 🚗 taxi ....they charge ₹120 from one side..₹240 of both sides....
You can book bike on rent of per day....Suzuki Access 125 = ₹500 and bullet bike = ₹1200
excluding fuel ⛽ ....you have to pay extra for fuel......

Mahadev neelkanth mandir is just 10km from rishikesh lakshman jhula you can rent a personal car or sharing jeep which cost rs100per person from laxman jhula.

This journey is too good and real adventure in the tough journey to real followers are moving and walking in huge crowd, this time of year just day after tommorow kawad yatra pillgram

Place is full of divinity and approaching road gives positive vibes to nature loving people.

Neelkanth Mahadev Temple : This temple is situated at 1325 meters height and 31 kms far from Rishikesh. Neelkant Mahadev is Temple of Lord Shiva. According to legends Lord Shiva came here for meditation when he consumed poison during the sea churning. Lord Shiva's throat became blue colored due to the poison so he is known as a NeelKanth (Blue throated) here. Thousand of tourist visit this temple during Shivratri and Kanwar Mela. Temple is also accessible by trekking route and by road from Swarg Ashram. Temple Timings: 05 AM to 01 PM and 04 PM to 09 PM.

Very great journey to nilkanth mahadev. Preferably go with personal car, bike or personal cab . Not with sharing or shuttle jeep.
As the beauty of the journey needs more stops to reach temple.

I had shared my experience it is the place where lord Shiva took the vish into him during Sagar manthan and maa Parvati stop it by toches his neck it is about 22 km journey by foot around 5-6 hrs it will take for a normal man including resting time during climbing on the mountain there aare certain shortcut to climb and many people use them. It was great experience for me as I able to look very far from the mountain and lights of the rishikesh I feel like asmaan niche or m uppar it was amazing 💫💫
