Wild Sherpas Tenting And Camping

On New Year's Eve & New Year's morning, I had a great time with my friends at Wild Sherpas! The service is great, the staff is humble and kind, and the food's awesome.
In order to make this evening even more special, the team hired a band.
Everyone sang along into the night
There was a great spot to stargaze and if you are lucky you get to see shooting stars. We also saw the moonrise that night! Early morning we went on a Sunrise trek and had a great view of the first sunrise of 2024 and later got engulfed by the massive cloud bed! It was beautiful and so worth it. I recommend that you go here - strongly.

Breathtaking sunrise views, people managing it are amazing, very friendly and travel geeks, lots of stories to share. Moderate trek to the campsite and to the sunrise point. Visit ideally on weekdays if you want a relaxed stay with less number of people. If you want to enjoy random cheerful people who love to travel, visit on a weekend. The only downside is less range, but honestly, it encourages less usage of phone, helps you reconnect with nature ❣

Beyond any words can describe, that's what this camping site is. The location is extremely beautiful and camps are set neatly. Dinner was okay, breakfast was really great. Do not miss the sunrise trek. Your breathing capacity will be tested in this trek but it's worth all the sweat! The view is simply amazing. You can also witness huge varieties of flowers during the season, which you will never see outside anywhere. Do camp here when you are in Munnar. Shijin bro and others took great care of us from the start till the end. A special thanks to all the people behind this camp.

Was a great experience along with friends.. nature and scenery made our experience better... Bathrooms may have been better... The shack area is beautiful...we even get charging points.. solar powered lights... Trek was really awesome and stunning

The tent stay was surrounded by stunning views, making it a peaceful retreat. The hospitality was excellent, and the host made sure we felt comfortable throughout our stay. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway.

The new year's Eve program was also one of a kind.

The food was awesome. In the evening they provided us with a soup which was extraordinary to have in the misty and chilling view.

This place holds a special place in our heart and will try to make this visit often .

NB- Common Washroom were kept neat and seperate for men and women.

I had an unexpected trip to Wild Sherpas Tenting & Camping and thoroughly enjoyed the place the campers and hosts, with a special mention to Shijin bro — a person who apparently never runs out of energy or things to say 😆. The food and amenities were great, and I experienced some wild life, a beautiful night sky and sunrise.
A bit sad as I couldn't see the cloud bed, but I'm hopeful for next time.

Had a wonderful stay! The location was amazing and the morning hike up the hill was breath taking! By far the best experience ive had! The people there was very welcoming and helpful! The tents were nice and comfortable! I highly recommend and will come back in the future! Also the food was amazing very worth it experience!:)

Our recent tenting camping trip to wild sherpas nothing short of a magical escape into the heart of nature. The picturesque setting surrounded by towering trees and the soothing symphony of chirping birds created an ambiance that instantly whisked us away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The crackling campfire became the focal point for evening gatherings, where stories were shared, laughter echoed, and friendships deepened. The simplicity of life in a tent allowed us to disconnect from technology and reconnect with each other.

Had an exceptional experience. The campsite location was one of the best. All hosts were very supportive especially Shujin who was a good companion, guiding us through the woods. The camping fire was so engaging with other guests and live music was 💯, Thanks to one of the guests Sujil. The next day's morning trek for sunrise was like a walk to heaven. Beautiful view luckily got to see a cloud bed for the first time.

If you're seeking an extraordinary solo escape in the serene embrace of Munnar, Wild Sherpa's Camping is where your adventure begins. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by Shijin, a true gem in this wilderness. Shijin doesn't just guide you; he takes you on a mesmerizing journey through Munnar's history and beauty.

He's a marvel with people, and his talent for photography and videography left me in awe. Don't miss a chance to have him as your guide. Shijin's warmth and knowledge made me feel like I had a friend in a new place.

The campsite, nestled amidst tea plantations, is a brief, magical walk from Yellapetty. Sunsets here are painted in hues you've never imagined, and the chairs and stargazing platforms offer front-row seats to nature's grandeur.

The real magic happens after the sun sets. This part of Munnar boasts the lowest light pollution, allowing me to witness the galaxy with my naked eye – an experience that is often underrated. It was a starlit sky like I've never seen before.

For those looking to see the stars, remember that the best time to visit for stargazing is in February. Depending on the moon cycle and clear skies, you might even catch a moonrise.

The next morning, a sunrise hike with Shijin was not just about witnessing the sun's ascent, but also being captivated by his engaging stories. The panoramic view from the mountaintop was breathtaking.

Back at the camp, they welcomed me with watermelon and a delicious breakfast, the perfect way to conclude this remarkable journey. And, I wasn't alone in this adventure; I met another solo lady traveler who shared my enthusiasm and had an equally positive experience.

However, I did encounter a couple of cons. There were leeches in the moist grass surface that I was unaware of, and one leech bit me. But the team was really quick to remove it and take care of me. Additionally, while the toilet is clean and looks good, it could be improved by adding more cloth hangers and perhaps a separate bathroom for bathing. Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience was truly awesome.

For those planning a visit, it's important to note that Wild Sherpa's Camping doesn't take online bookings, so contacting them directly is necessary. But trust me, it's worth the effort!

With minor improvements and considering the wonderful experience I had, I'm happy to rate them 4.9 stars out of 5. 🏕🌄🌟

No words to describe this place. Really dam worthy. Very unique experience. Much enjoyed stay in my lifetime. Excellent food.
we are family of 4 with 2 kids stayed in Wild Sherpas on Sep,28th and its our kids idea to try this experience to stay in tent. We enjoyed each & every minute from check-in to check-out.

At first to reach the camp, we need to literally walk from Yellapatty to Wild Sherpas camp. They say its only 2 kms, but the road trekking is the challenging one. Crossing the tea estate, carrot farm, cabbage farm, then entering the forest when you have little drizzling, medium air and at-last a little rainbow. what is perfect entry. We experienced this type of trekking with kids.

After the little trekking, finally we reached the camp then we see the view from the mountain top. Mind blowing view surrounding the forest with sound of birds and insects with heavy windy. We are so lucky to have this type of experience.
Our guide Mr. Shijin. Had a wonderful conversation. Great guy. Kids are really like a lot. Played with kids. Having games and activities. Had our evening snacks and we started our fire camp. Had a great dinner.

I had an amazing time on my first solo camping trip. The staff were incredibly helpful, and Shijin, in particular, stood out as one of the most helpful people. It felt like I was never truly alone during my journey.
