Teesta Homestay (Darjeeling Town)

This Darjeeling homestay is a hidden gem. Hosted by Subhash Uncle, who feels more like family than a host. The food is exquisite and reasonably priced. Apart from the stunning views, quality rooms, and excellent services, the standout is the delicious food. Subhash Uncle's warm hospitality is unmatched; he personally served hot rotis and refilled everyone's plate at the dining table. This will be my permanent stay in Darjeeling from next time for sure.

It is an excellent homestay. Rooms, services all are good.

It really provides homely atmosphere, comforts and care to the dwellers.
Soft, polite and cordial behavior of the owner and all the team members is really heart winning and praiseworthy.
The rooms and the wash-rooms are cosy, neat n clean.
The scenic beauty of the hills and mountains as seen from the balcony is really awesome.
The home made, non-spicy simple food is another point of appreciation.
Although the approach road is little narrow and off the main road, but the other positive aspects evens out all these odds.

The best homestay in Darjeeling! I would highly recommend it. It's well-located, and has a beautiful view. But the most important thing is that Subhash Uncle was the warmest and nicest host I have ever met. He treated us like family and fed us the tastiest meals. I will definitely come back here whenever I am in Darjeeling again.

The property is Fairly placed at the footsteps of Himalayan Mountaineering Institute.

Pros: Subhash uncle's warm behaviour, the well behavior of all the family members and staff. Good food and a nice view from the top of the balcony.

Cons: Couldn't find any.

Overall nice place to stay.

Definitely one can stay over here without any next thinking. Owner Uncle is a kind of a person. He will take care of everything single thing. Food Quality is just like we are eating in our home very hygienic. Very Much thanks uncle for taking care of us. Me and my family will come once again if our destiny wants. ♥

It is truly a home stay...as one has no worry while staying at home, felt the same during our stay in Teesta Homestay. And uncle, owner of the place is such a caring person,his warm welcome and care made us feel at home,without even asking, the need would be taken care of. The morning starts with the view of the Himalayan valley from the bed.. and with a hot cup of tea , what more is required!!! Though very near to the main road , there is no noise, transportation is also widely available . And the night!!the far away city lights of Kurseong and Darjeeling on the opposite hill look like the extension of starry sky on earth. Loved the place so much. Wish to go to Teesta Homestay again and again.

I stayed there for two days. It is a nice homestay to stay. Anyone can stay there without thinking much. The owner uncle is a lovely person. He takes care everything single handedly. His behaviour is too goo. Food quality is also very good.

I had stayed here for 3 nights and it was a brilliant experience. Subash Uncle really took care of all the minute details.
Place was very clean, room views were very good, and the food was just amazing- with just the most delicious momos I have ever had :)
Connectivity from the main stand is also good ( you can take a share cab from the main road, and they charge 20 Rs per person)

Hospitality is a passion for this wonderful couple who run the homestay. The view from my room was just amazing! I stayed there with my mother who has travelled extensively across West Bengal and has a rich experience of homestays. I think both of us would agree, this accomodation has been one of our best so far. We opted for all three meals at the place which were very delicious and filling. Throughout the stay, we felt completely at home, the elderly couple and their team of three helps are such genuine and hospitable people. I cannot think of going to Darjeeling in future and not staying at this Homestay. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Darjeeling for any purpose be it trekking or a trip with family or even friends.

Uncle Subhash is very warm and treats his guests like family. The food is amazing and one won't miss home food here. They upgrade our room to a better room without any added cost. The wifi good for working professionals. The location is also good and well connected to the city. Please don't forget to visit Happy valley tea estate just nearby Teesta homestay. The house helps are also amazing and make you feel at home.

Real homestay. Owner treated us like a family member. Food quality is excellent.huge collection of books for guest. Very nice experience.though no kanchan view from here, Balcony view of this homestay is ❤ love....

Location is too good. Rooms and services are awesome. A complete cozy stay.The owner is a pure gentleman . Foods served are very tasty and hygienic. Stayed there for 6 days.

One of my best stays in all my homestays staying life. The warmth of Mr Agarwal in Darjeeling's sheer cold made us really feel at home the moment we arrived there. The rooms have a fabulous view of the valley which every nature lover would love to wake up to in the morning with a cup of hot tea made with special love by Mr Agarwal. The location of this homestay is perfect, not too far away from Mall also not too much noisy. Made a lot of new friends during this stay, which will be in my memory to cherish forever. Kudos to Mr Agarwal to make our stay so cherishing. Will love to go here again and again, and also will recommend everyone to go and visit this place.

It was a very homely stay with super helpful host, uncle Subas. He tries in every way to make your stay comfortable & he never says no to any requests at any point of time. It was a lovely stay in a cosy homestay away from home the guest house being situated in a very beautiful location to enjoy the sunrise and sunset from the room.

This place is a stone’s throw away from the zoo and definitely One of the Best homestay we’ve experienced so far. We were perched atop a room with the valley view that came very clean and organised. We had to share the bathroom though, which wasn’t much of an issue. I recommend you to have a chat with the host. He is one of those warm, benign local who is ever eager to talk to his guests and advice them. The working ladies of the house are equally warm and polite. Never did we feel that we were in a commercial establishment. The warmth and kindness of the owner is extend to all their guests. Do make it a point to spend a couple of nights here.

It was a very pleasant experience for me to stay at home. The owner of the house Subash is really an amazing person. Never expected my stay to be this amazing. The place is about 3 kms from the Darjeeling town. And you get share taxi to and fro from the omni share taxi stand, which is really affordable. Also, the home made food was just amazing. I would recommend this place to all.
