An unbelievable experience! The views of the surrounding mountains and tea garden were breathtaking. Having breakfast and tea in the garden with spectacular views made the experience that much more memorable. However, its the staff that makes this property what it is. They are attentive and cater to all your requests. Every staff member was polite, respectful, and highly professional. We can't wait to go back!

I have literally no words to explain how great full I’m to my husband to book this wonderful yet beautiful house for ending our honeymoon.
The view, the staff (Prima & Deepika), the property, the rooms, everything was amazing.
One should definitely book this one to experience the best in Darjeeling.

We stayed at the Ging Tea House last weekend and had wonderful, peaceful, luxurious stay with amazing food! We were picked up right on time by Mr. Ramesh who is fantastic at navigating the narrow, jaw dropping windy road from Bagdora airport to the tea house! It is a 3.5 hour drive and he made suggestions to where we could stop for lunch and tea and stopped at a wonderful cafe half way up.
After going through the very noisy, traffic filled roads in Darjeeling, the Tea house was an oasis of peace, calm and beauty. What made is exceptional is the service - all the staff including Prima, Device, Nakesh (sorry for the spelling) and all the others including the Chef are so warm and hospitable. We we treated with tea and snacks as soon as we arrived. Everything was taken care of including all transport to visit the unique Darjeeling toy steam train (don't miss this!) and a wonderful tour and walk to the nearby temple with Nakesh. We were invited to join the ceremony in the temple and have some tea with the people who lived in the village which made is very special. Nakesh gave us lots of information about life on the plantation and we had a great time discussing the issues facing the villagers.

The Tea House has several beautifully decorated rooms - we stayed in the Blue Lady suite which was large, with a very comfortable bed (not the norm in most places we have been to!) and lots of pillows with a window seat facing the sunrise in the morning. The bathroom is very large and there is lots of warm water. Be warned - there is no central heating and it gets quite cold in the evenings. The staff started a fire in the dining room so that we were warm while we had dinner. We also had a fire in our room which was roaring in a few hours but also makes the room very smokey as there is no flue...but having an electric blanked turned on when we slipped into bed was pure luxury!! Thank you to all the staff :)

My only recommendation is that the staff could relax and be a bit more chill and not worry so much about pleasing the guests - I think most people enjoy the banter with the local staff and would really appreciate hearing their stories of village life - so please feel free to chat with the guests and not just serve them!

Stayed for 5 days at Ging Tea house during Christmas break. It was a wonderful experience. All the staff are very friendly and courteous. Food is delicious and prepared fresh per your liking. They try to provide experience of different cuisines on each day and all the meals were prepared well. The view is breathtaking. We could see sunrise from our room. Overall loved staying at Ging Tea house. My heartfelt thanks to Premaji, Nikesh and Deepika and other support staff for their service. Rajat for delicious meals, Satyajit for comfortable drive around Darjeeling, Nikesh for village and tea factory tour and Andrew for an excellent management. Thanks a lot.

It was an amazing experience to stay at Gings Tea Estate and experience the tranquility & beauty of tea estate, tastefully setup big rooms, tasty food and hospitality of a five star!
Right from booking, to pick up at airport, welcome and stay at estate, travel in estate booked car, and drop back to airport was seamless!
Tea estate itself is large and offers amazing views of the hills.
Rooms are spacious and luxurious.
Food was extremely tasty!
Our hosts - Manager Andrew, Anju were courteous, easy going and very helpful. Chauffeur Kiran ensured that we visited all places we wanted in Darjeeling and was definitely an experienced driver and even guide, aware of all good spots in the area! Kausikji ensured my booking experience was smooth and gave all relevant options for consideration.
Definitely recommended!
Please do keep atleast a day or two to just experience the peace and beauty of the property itself.
What a memorable experience!

Loved my stay here!! The way the place is done up is just so stunning! The view is breathtaking with acres and acres of tea estate and hills ahead of you! Watching the sunrise here was such a serene experience. We got a tour of the tea factory too! The staff is outstanding, they are friendly and so helpful. The food is delicious and you eat your breakfast in the lawn area overlooking the green hills! I had an amazing experience here with my family especially when Darjeeling town itself has become so crowded and polluted a secluded place like this is much needed to understand the real beauty of that place. Keep up the good work team!

Superb place. Great hospitality and serene beauty. Must visit for nature lovers. Staffs are awesome. Andrew, the manager of the cottage made sure we have everything we asked for. Every part of the stay was awesome. They had planned a surprise night with live music and bon fire for was which was really special. Every meal was different and superb. Chefs are great and staffs are so punctual and perfect. I think this is best stay in Darjeeling. Perfect place for peace lovers and loners. Andrew planned our entire city tour as well as sight seeing tours, we didn't even had to plan or think about anything. A must stay place in Darjeeling with awesome food.

One of the best places to stay in Darjeeling. It's far from the crazy traffic jams and crowded roads. The food and service is incredible. In fact, other than sight seeing, there is no reason to leave this self sufficient space. Workation heaven.

My family and I had a very enjoyable stay at Ging Tea House. The staff are warm and hospitable and ensure that the guests remain as comfortable as possible. Mr Andrew, the general manager was friendly and approachable and gave us valuable suggestions about places to explore during our stay here. Anju, Raju, Nikesh, Isha and our driver Kiran went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one by asking about our preferences and accommodating our requests.
My two young kids had a lovely time playing billiards, playing the piano and exploring the surroundings. We stayed at the Blue Lady Suite and enjoyed the amazing views from this suite; especially watching the beautiful sunrise from the comfort of the room.
I must admit that I had previously considered Glenburn and Mayfair prior to deciding on Ging and my stay affirms that my decision was correct, as per the reasons below:
- the individualised attention and service is way superior to a resort like Mayfair, which has multiple rooms
- in terms of pricing, Ging includes both the cost of the car and food and offers bigger rooms compared to Mayfair, hence Ging has an edge over Mayfair
- Glenburn is further down the road from Ging and the road to Glenburn is extremely bumpy, which can be quite a deterrent if you are intending to travel out for sightseeing
- Glenburn's room rates are way more exorbitant compared to Ging's, hence, Ging certainly is a better deal.

I hope to visit Ging again in the future. It was a wonderful, relaxing stay indeed!

We absolutely loved our recent (April 2021) stay at the Ging Tea House located amidst the beautiful Ging Tea Estate. The heritage bungalow which houses 6 guest rooms has been completely rebuilt and extremely tastefully done up - the result is classy, yet homely and inviting at the same time. The service is impeccable and friendly with the added bonus of a fabulous dining experience!

Absolutely wonderful experience at Ging Tea House. The colonial property is very well maintained and is away from the crowd. It felt like heaven, surrounded by tea gardens all around. The rooms are beautiful with vintage furniture. The garden is spacious and very pretty. We used to have Breakfast and tea there. The staff is very polite and friendly. They cooked Thukpa and Momos on request: that was so kind of them. The Manager Andrew was very helpful, too. Just came back from Ging Tea House with great memories.

By the way, they will serve great Darjeeling Tea whenever you ask!

We were put up at lovely “Blue lady suite” for 3 nights. Fantastic Tea house with serene view of the Himalayas. Unparalleled hospitality by all staff, who were always ready to help with a smile. Special thanks to Anju, Rajat, Prasenjit and Satyajit for making our stay so beautiful. Breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner were delicious and were a lot!!

The drive from Bagdobra Airport to Ging Tea House took a little over 3.5hrs with some incredible views along the way. Margaret's Deck is worth a stop to let the driver have a break and to have a drink or snack to keepnyou energised for the rest of the journey. Passing through Darjeeling enroute to the Ging Tea Estate keep your camera handy so you can take some pictures of the Toy Train (we saw the steam and diesel engines several times). On arrival at the Ging Tea House we were warmly greeted by the staff and given a hearty lunch. The staff are very attentive, maybe even too attentive, as they kept knocking on the door to the room to see if we wanted anything - after an early morning flight and a long journey in the car we just wanted a nap, but their customer service was excellent !

The place was really affordable and the staff were really very good. The ambience here was very pleasant. We never felt like that we are away from our real home as this place gives the feel of our real home. The view that you will get from this place is mind blowing. You should definitely visit this place if you ever visit Sikkim.

If you aim at getting a calm, cool and charming place far from the hassles and tensions of urban life, probably Ging Tea Estate, a place away from the traffic packed Darjeeling City, is the best choice.
I stayed at property for 3 days with my wife from 11th to 13th June ,2019 and the majestic green hill views around the property coupled with it’s tranquility nourished our body, mind and soul completely. Our tour guide had planned some sightseeing in Darjeeling for a day but the beauty, peace and scene-tic views around the Tea House didn’t allow us to leave the place. We felt quite rejuvenated, reenergized and replenished after 3 days stay and regretted a little while leaving for not planning a long stay.
British period built hotel housing limited 6 big Rooms/Suites for guests, having every possible modern amenities gave us immense feelings of comfort and luxury. The food was excellent and unlimited beverages is available throughout the day. All the meals are prepared fresh by the expert chefs and served hot in dining hall or in rooms ,as per convenience of guests. Having beers 🍺 at Shaded Hut at hilltop, enjoying the beauty of nature, was an amazing experience.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, always giving a genuine and warm welcome to guests. Special mention of charming, cool and soft spoken Mr. Pranesh who was always available for any help. He is well versed with entire north east area and is fluent in few languages including English and Hindi. Mr. Andrew, the Manager is too sweet. I promised him to write a review of Resort about my experiences. We are thankful to him for arranging a bonfire evening filled with music by Prashant & Vishal followed by dance of few Guests including me and my wife who enjoyed the most. The only lacking at property was Spa & Massage which can be an added attraction for the long staying guests. Even then,I shall give highest rating to Ging Tea House.

We can here in a group of 7 people on the 9th of April. have had an amazing stay, since than at Ging. The ambience here clubbed with the scenic beauty of the estate made the stay very relaxing and rejuvenating. The food was wonderful, from veg to nonveg, and the different couisine prepared very well. The staff and hospitality is one of the biggest touch point. We were taken to the Tea factory of Ging which was a great learning experience.
Thanks to all the Ging team. members for the Bonfire evening and live music which was a real surprise and toned our mood for the musical evening.
Thank you again for the stay.
