Rainbow Valley Resort

A gem hidden amidst the Kalej Valley. If the gorgeous landscape isn't enough to convince you of visiting this lovely place, then the hospitality certainly will. Beautiful resort, all relevant facilities available and the bonfire was a nice surprise!

Visited rangbul in mid-october and stayed here for a night. This property,rainbow valley resort, is located at a quiet yet picturesque landscape. Being a travel enthusiast i have visited many places especially in north bengal..but this time my experience here has topped all of my previous ones..where do i start..it's an perfect example of the saying "difficult roads often leads to a beautiful destination". The property has an amazing view of the hills which is refreshing. A beautiful backyard with nice seating areas where u can chill with friends. Rooms and bathrooms are neat and tidy. Want to appreciate all of the kitchen staffs and the owner for their amazing hospitality. Every meal that we had were so delicious and homely. Loved the dining space too. The whole property is so beautifully decorated. The beautiful kalej valley tea garden and so many trees are all around. You don't wanna miss their bamboo chicken and barbeque. Add to that they have good wifi connectivity, a parking space(we went by bikes) inside the property. Some of our friends went by rented car which the owner guided us to arrange. The next morning we trekked for 45mins to reach the nearby rainbow aka indrani falls, which is by the way one of the main attraction of kalej valley.

All in all we had so much fun and comfort here and all thanks to them for offering such commendable service.

It's an out of this world place. Serene nature all around. It's so peaceful. Weather is lovely. Mr Simon in whose resort... Rainbow Valley resort we stayed for two days was exceptional in his taking care of guests. Must location.

Stay was super good. Mr Simon Roy is very polite and service was really goods. Rooms are well managed and views from room are very good.
We had barbecue arranged and was super delicious. Had a great time there with friends.

We went for school farewell trip for 1 night,1 hour distance from Darjeeling town, but full of nature. We all really enjoyed the place..

Wonderful experience! The ambient atmosphere is a bonus. Good place to enjoy with friends and family. They offer quality food and facilities. Rainbow waterfall is very near from this resort. I visited on the Christmas Eve. I must thank all the staffs of the resort and the owner of the resort is a true gentleman. I have one suggestion though.. they should provide one electric kettle in every room.

It was just an awesome experience... Nice behaviour from all the staff .. they are so helpful. I was there with my 1yr son, and a beautiful hill view of every corner from the resort.. always recommend 🙂 special attraction was bonfires and a tracking to Rainbow 🌈 falls..

Probably the best place to visit if you are looking to have good beautiful time with your friends/family/partner. The view and surrounding of this place is awesome and The Resort will not let your hopes down in any case. The owner Mr Simon Rai is very well behaved and nice person as well as all the staff here are very humble and helpful.
You can visit this place even if you want to go with your own vehicle otherwise you can rent a car. Last 1 km of road condition is not too good... But this place is worth it.
Will come back here definitely.

Firstly wishing the entire team of Rainbow Valley Resort a Happy and Prosperous New Year. A bit delayed review though.
My conversation with Simon Sir started long back when we booked our train tickets and decided to spend couple of days in this wonderful property during X-Mas in 2022. This was my second visit.
Simon Sir and his team had been a wonderful host and starting from the room, food and hospitality all were top notch.
Food - simple, tasty and was provided with whatever was requested for. Must tries are the bamboo chicken and the barbeque.
Rooms - extremely clean and fresh linen was provided
Attraction: the beautiful Rainbow falls. It's a two km trek downhills. One must visit this place once, a hidden gem.
Thank you so much Simon Sir for being a wonderful host. We as a family and our entire group enjoyed our vacation/stay thoroughly. Without a second thought this would be my/our place of stay whenever I/we are in Rongbull next.
A note of thanks to all the kitchen staff who were always there to cater to our requirements whenever requested for.

“Rainbow valley resort” , this is situated at the heart of Rangbull . There are available two type of food option that are rice and roti, there are available parking space also and a ground where anyone can spend there free time,overall this is more beautiful for the couples than any other places in Rangbull.The atmosphere of the lodge is very good ,very impressive.this place is romantic, looney..swimming pool and camp fire facility are available in this place..

Rangbull is a lesser-known destination located in North Bengal. Only 8 km from Ghoom Railway station, Rangbull has every element to surprise its nature buff guests. Just before Ghoom on the way towards Darjeeling, you would come across a village market named Rangbull Bazaar.
While in Rangbull, you can stay at Rainbow Valley Resort. Though there are some 2-3 homestays, I would suggest to stay at Rainbow Valley Resort as the memories of staying here will never be fade. The owner of this resort is humble and caring in nature. The cottages of this resort are well equipped with hot and cold running water, western-style bathrooms.
Almost every room has a valley view. Fresh home cooked meals are available in this resort with veg and non-veg options.

We visited this place in a group of 17 people, and the stay was just wonderful. With all the cottages booked ,Rainbow Valley became a family paradise. The view is beautiful, the bamboo made restaurant became our best place to spend the day time gossiping and viewing the Kalej Tea valley. Simon along with his team made the stay even better. Evenings were made more interesting with Bar B Q, Bamboo Chicken and Bon Fire. Food has been an added advantage, so sofresh and tasty. We also went for the RainBow Falls trek and enjoyed it thoroughly. I will strongly recommend all to visit this place at least once.

Stay there for 2days.....such a amazing and quite place. Great level of professionalism in homely atmosphere. Rainbow fall a 2km trekking is one of the best falls to see and take shower with natural rainbow on your body. The mini pool in resort is awesome. Last but most important Simon ji (owner) nice behaviour and guidance in tour planning

One should really visit and trek to Rainbow waterfall and Chipley Koley Waterfalls down to the Tropical Moist Evergreen Forest with its beauty. The Rainbow valley resort is excellent. Very nice hospitality. Delicious foods are served in the midst of beautiful nature to enjoy every moment. The owner of the resort , Mr. Simon Rai was very helpful to guide us and to show every beauty of the sights.

A great place.Panoramic view is awesome.Staffs are helpful.

It is amazing place to stay.. they provide food on a la karte basis... All the staff are very cooperative. The last 3km road from main road is quite bad. So you coming try to use big car like sumo, bolero etc or call the manager he may provide car and experienced driver. Charge 500rs per trip.

A lovely place to enjoy nature at close range in a serene setting. It is set on the sloping face of a tea garden and with a bit of luck Kalij birds can be spotted while sitting on the balcony. The room and facilities are warm and comfortable enough to relax. Overall an ideal spot for anyone looking for a few days of peace and quite near Darjeeling. A trek to the waterfalls is a good option but the steep downhill path is not suited for the aged. Repair work on the road to lower Kalij valley is commencing, so hopefully in a few months it will be a comfortable ride to the resort.

Thanks to Team Rainbow valley resort and Simon ji for giving us a memorable day's. Everything is perfect like clean room, healthy and delicious food and especially their hospitality was so good. Loved the place and the people's.
