The Rock Garden (also known as Barbotey Rock Garden) is a famous tourist attraction in Darjeeling. It is one of the most magnificent places to visit in Darjeeling. From Darjeeling Mall it is just 7 km. It is a multi-level garden. The green environment will mesmerize you, it is a well decorated & well maintained place. You can easily spend 2/3 hours sitting here and enjoying the amazing nature. If you are a true nature-lover then you must visit this place in Darjeeling.

The Rock Garden of Darjeeling was launched in 1980. Before reaching Darjeeling town, one has to descend about 400 meters along the winding path of the locality, tea plantations on the right. The natural surroundings will attract any nature lover. Due to the lack of repair of the pitch casting hall, some of the roads are quite broken. The last few kilometers to reach Rock Garden feel like a thrilling jungle safari.
Entry fee: Rs 20 for Indian citizens, Rs 50 for foreigners.
Opening Hours: 10 AM to 4 PM.

At the entrance to the rock garden, the sound of the fountain and the huge fountain is seen in your front. A few steps up the fountain gives an idea of its grandeur. The rock garden is well organized and planned. The greenery, the natural scenery, the rest places for tourist, the cleanliness is impressive. There is no transportation from Darjeeling to Rock Garden by share car. Reserve car fare is 1500 to 2500 rupees depending on the size, but must be negotiated. Let's keep our environment clean. Do not throw plastic and non-biodegradable waste anywhere.

The Rock Garden (also known as Barbotey Rock Garden) at Chunnu Summer Falls and Ganga Maya Park are recently added tourist attractions in the hilly town of Darjeeling in the state of West Bengal, India. It is a showpiece meant to lure people to Darjeeling after political agitations disrupted tourism in the 1980s. There is another rock garden in Darjeeling known as Sir John Anderson Rock Garden, which is part of Lloyd's Botanical Garden.

Loved this place very much. As a hill station lover I visited Darjeeling thrice. And every time I visited rock garden. This is beautiful natural fall and garden,well maintained by the authority.
U need 1-2 hour to properly visit this place.
U can also try snacks and food outside the garden from local vendors and stalls.
Only con point is the road from Darjeeling city to the rock garden is very dangerous

Very wonderful place at Darjeeling. Go there at morning time...

We visit at early morning and that time no crowd over there. The waterfall is very nice and the decoration of garden is also good. Different type of flowers, Orchid and many types of trees are there. Overall a good visiting place in Darjeeling.Thank you visit again.
