Serenity Home Darjeeling

Hi to all the WANDERLUST's...
I stayed in their home stay in the second last week of Dec 2023. I want to sum up my review
1. Location: (Landmark places)
It is only 5 to 6 mins walk to chowrasta... where u will find the famous landmarks like, Kunga, Keventers, Mahakal restaurant , sing studio and in evening you will find all the street foods and Street hawkers for shopping.
The home stay is also hardly 3 mins walking distance (from internal roads which are clean) from the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) Station.
2. Location (homestay):-
Th home stay is just on the slopes to the main road (opposite to many renowned hotels as Pink mountain, muscatel etc which will provide u rooms but they will chrage hefty charges for views of kunchanjunga) with walk of 1 min downwards. The rooms are available at 3rd floor of the apartment with good view of the Darjeeling and kunchanjunga ( I am sharing some pics).
3. Rooms :- We were 3 person in the room and they suitably arranged an extra bed. The room was cosy with wooden wall panelling and fitted mattress just giving the feel of warmth. The room has one closet, two bed side tables, two sofas and a centre table which give a good ambiance and opportunity to sit and relax with cup of tea and enjoy the view. Bathoorm have geyser facility. The rooms are adjacent to each other they are with in one apartment and are good for nuclear families. They also have one big room on lower floor to accomodate family of 5 to 6 people. Although some may complain about the non availability of lift...but it was manageable (especially if u don't have old people with you) as you only require to lift your luggage obecw in check in and next in check out. The entrance of the apartment gives a giod vibes with nice decoration and beautifully decorated indoor plants.
4. Service : (The rooms were booked with one time food and breakfast) The time we stayed the owner Mr Sanjay and his wife (I didn't got the opportunity to get her name but she is very religious and sweet) didn't had any helping hands so they had to manage all services of preparation of food and servings. The food was delicious with good variety including veg and non veg. Especially I very much liked thier black tea. Towels and sanitary products were also provided. Hot water flasks were provided by them as and when required.
The rooms can be booked dirxtly with the owner. I have given them 5 ⭐...

A home away from home. We were here from 15th-19th Dec this year in the family room and had a very pleasant stay. Owners Vicky Ji and Sanjay Ji are very helpful. Also, there is another Sanjay ji who had given us a wonderful sightseeing tour. You will find all facilities and excellent food here. 100% recommended for stay.

Serenity home is a self-explanatory homestay. A home away from home. A true experience! Our stay got all the more enriched by the warm owners. Their humbleness is utmost! And the food is awesome!! Very close to Smart Bazaar, ATMs and the Darjeeling Railway station. A true worthwhile experience!

Had a trip to Darjeeling from
18 - 20 May 23. Awesome place to reside in Darjeeling. familiar environment. The owners r really very good and co-operative. Room service is excellent. Behaviour of owners, Mr Sanjay sir and Mrs Vicky Ma'am, was just wow. A home far from ur home. Food was also delicious. Located right in the heart of the town. Thank u very very much for making our stay very comfortable and memorable. Immensely happy!!!

Really enjoyed the stay. The behavior of the owner is very good and welcoming.
We stayed 3 nights in 2 different rooms. First room was awesome and the view from the room was very nice. 2nd room was okay not that great also there was no view. Overall nice experience.

Very nice valley view rooms and value for money also. The hospitality was awesome .We were very much pleased with the Behaviour of owner (Vicky Rai di) . It's a must visit homestay in Darjeeling .

A great place to stay with amazing views from room, 5 mins walking distance from mall road that too in budget! The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the views are breathtaking, clouds literally enters the room, owner is very kind, highly recommended!

The location is very convenient, the owner and staff were very welcoming and cordial. I had chosen an all food inclusive plan since I prefer home-cooked items , the food was extremely fresh and delicious .
I was allocated the room with all basic amenities which made my stay as a female solo traveler, very very comfortable.
The view from my room was ethereal.

This is one of the best home stays in Darjeeling.
1. Hospitality of Sanjay and viky was amazing.
2. Child Friendly.
3. Stuffs are very polite and well behaved.
4. The view of Kanchanjungha was excellent. Even no need to visit tiger hill for sunrise.
5. Room was clean. Geyser available.
6. The food quality is also good and reasonable.
7. Road in front of the homestay is a bit steep. can be difficult for aged people.
8. Mall is a 10 min walking distance.

The people make this location one of the most wonderful places to stay on Darjeeling. We were shown the most exceptional hospitality I've ever experienced while staying here. The rooms are fairly clean, though the mattresses are too hard for my liking. The views are breathtaking from most of the rooms, and the food is fantastic. They take cash or wire transfer only. Location is a little tough to find, but you can call ahead and meet someone by either the mall or the pink Himalaya hotel, and they can walk you there. They really know the area well, so don't be afraid to ask for tips and tricks, or to accept a guided tour (Sunil was an exceptional host during our trip).

Owner are very polite. Rooms are very clean and food is also like home food. Location wise this is near to Mall road. 7 minutes walking to Mall road.

Location is very good, near to mall, parking is in open road under cctv surveillance. Food options are limited. One can see Kanchenjunga from balcony of room no. 105. Spacious room, room service is good, room heater available(for extra money), Geyser available. Behavior & hospitality is nice.

We had a wonderful experience during our stay here few months back. The owners Mrs. Rai and Mr. Gurung are very helpful and caring. The staff members are very cordial. Kanchenjhunga view from balcony is mind-blowing. Overall, a superb experience.

We stayed there for 3 days and the stay was awesome. I booked a delux room and it was a mountain view. In the morning you can see the kanchanjunga peak which was just amazing. I booked it offline by just calling the owner and she was very nice to us. It is at a walking distance from mall road and the stay was nice.

Serenity home was very good in terms of location, food and view from the room. The service was up to mark and the behavior of the owner of this homestay was very polite.

You can see the sunrise from the rooms only, perfect for vacations, even for a work-staycation, all the tourist places are nearby, like joyride station, photo places, mall road. Rooms are clean and tidy, very helpful owner, staffs are also very good, especially BIjay, who is a shy little boy, ready to help you always and has a beautiful warm smile. Couple friendly also. Had a great stay.

I will definitely recommend everyone who is visiting Darjeeling for the 1st time. The owner is very helpful to arrange cars. Even you can take his advices for different occasions. The hotel boys are well-mannered. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. You can use the geyser in bathroom. But if you need almirah then please ask them 1st ,they will arrange that too. Although the room , i booked, already had a large almirah for storage.

" The home stay was excellent. We stayed 3 nights 14/15/16th March'23 in room no. 104. The owner Vicky and Sanju was very customer friendly and helpful. Darjeeling tea and morning breakfast ( Aloo paratha ) prepared by Ibrahim ( the chef) was delicious. The other housekeeping person Kartik was also very helpful and cheerful. Vicky provided her own Maruti WagonR with driver Sanjay for local sightseeing and we really enjoyed travelling with Sanjay. "

Overall a great experience. Family like experience. Staff were like family. Always ready to help. Location is very good, near to mall. Spacious room, room service is good. Geyser available.
Behavior & hospitality is nice. They treat you like family and home stay food is quite affordable.
Must visit. Absolutely loved it.
