Golden Orchid-The Lodge

Rooms and bathrooms are spotlessly clean and smell fresh. The pink hot chocolate is to DIE for. The staff is very sweet and caring. Mr. Satyen is the most charming host ever. Also it is very close to Mall perhaps 3 minutes so even location-wise it's bang on. Every time i go to Darjeeling I'm staying ONLY here!

A hillside gem with a warm vibe. Our room had 2 queen beds, 2 RESTROOMS, all the amenities, and a stunning sunrise view. The manager, Paul, answered all our touristic questions patiently. Overall, it was a cosy stay with gracious hosts, and I highly recommend it for a warm hillside retreat.

I enjoyed every minute of my stay in Golden Orchid. We came first for the food and then decided to move there for a few days. The rooms were really clean (especially for the area), the view was also really good. There is no heating, but it was warm enough in the building (we had a comparison) and there are heated bed sheets. The best part was the staff and the ambience of the place, we would chill in the restaurant all the time, it was really cute and relaxing. The owner would try his best to give us the best experience. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.

One of the best places to stay

Our entire stay was completely satisfying in the hotel.. They are having rooms that are upto the mark and nonetheless were their services. They give free wifi- access which is mediocre as a service but they also provide bedside heater which is highly important at the time of low temperature, that I truly loved in the list of their services.
The ambience of the room and the hotel entrance was also breathtaking... Besides the services, little awkward I felt is about their restaurant rates which were bit high other than that including staffs behavior were also truly appreciating!!!

The lodge is location just near to SP Bungalow, which is just 2 minutes walk from Mall Chowrasta. The Lodge manager is very welcoming and nice person. Also the ambience and the view from here is excellent. I would recommend everyone to come here and experience their hospitality.

It was a great great experience at Golden Orchid-The Lodge. First to note the rooms are very clean & comfy. Everyone was polite to us. The rooftop bar cum restaurant was just lit. The services and accessories provided within are perfect partners to fulfill your trip with a comfortable experience.
I had a very comfy and warm experience within the chilly winters of Darjeeling.

Location is good but When you return to the hotel from the mall you have to take a bit of a hard way back through the courtyard road

This lodge is 6 minutes away from the mall... The lodge is very well maintained... Staff behavior was good... Though we only ordered indian food especially the Bengali cuisine it was good in taste... Overall it is a nice place to stay with family.

We were pretty skeptical about our stay here due to the apparently awkward location which was an absolute misconception. The property is really beautiful. The owner and manager are very nice people, extremely helpful and friendly. The restaurant is okayish tho. But, the hotel rooms are very good, considering the price. The bed warmers provided are useful. There's a guitar in the reception area, which manages to pull off great jamming sessions with the other guests of the hotel. Overall, a wonderful stay.

The best in class ! The rooms and premises are neat and clean. The manager , Paul and the service boy Pranesh, these guys will make your stay blissful. They are very courteous and helpful. I would recommend this hotel/lodge when some one is planning to stay in Darjeeling.

The rooms were really beautiful and cozy. Just the location is not close to Mall road and no car can go there so it was difficult for us and our parents to carry the luggage to their hotel.

The owner is a friendly guy. Location is a little above the mall road. Vehicle can't go, so need to walk a little bit to reach. Rooms are clean and nice. The food is nice. The service is also good and the hotel staffs are helpful.

Awesome place to stay..With nice balcony views on the 4th floor. The staffs are pretty helpful . Special mention to Mr. Satyen he is such a lovely guys and his behaviour is what I appreciate the most. Right way 5 mins walk from Mall Road.
Their in house restaurant Patio has a great vibe and the food was delicious. The room amenities were great from bed heater to geysers everything was there. Overall great experience. Looking forward to be there again

We had gone in the restaurant and they did provide a good service. The food was good and was served in a relatively quick time. The place has open space and closed and they also provide guitar, which made the ambience more vibrant. A good to chill with friends

I would definitely recommend Golden Orchid if you are looking for a chilled out place to book your stay.
The rooms are well maintained with proper hygiene and all the staffs are quite friendly.
Special mention for Paul sir, the manager who is truly a gem. He is a down to earth person who will assist you with all your queries and ease your stay. He also helped me to book the cab for sightseeing and was a pleasure knowing him.
It was overall a very comfortable stay and loved the experience.!

Happily spent the span of our holidays there! The manager was really sweet and helpful. The rooms were comfortable for the stay in with clean washroom and warm water was available 24 hours. They have restaurant there. The view was amazing from the balcony and even from the room we were in.

Best hotel near Darjeeling mall. Loved their rooms and restaurants. Clean and beautiful. They also give thermal matress and geyser. Mall is 5 minute away from this hotel.

Hotel is beautiful, have vegan food and freshly brewed coffee the perfect taste for cold weather.... Rooms have wooden frame and heater beds .... Overall experience was amazing.
