Great place to stay at. Amazing rooms and ambience. Our room had a good view of the grand mountain, which we enjoyed over a cup of darjeeling tea. Its magic .

Food here is better than Glenarys…. period. Visit and experience yourself. Excellent staff and service . Clean and hygienic.

Amazing experience, Excellent foods. Manager (Mr.Arijeet) and others staff are very humble. If you want spend some good times in the lap of nature and far from the madding crowd, you should go there. Rooms are really aesthetically beautiful and clean. There is a clear view of Kanchenjunga from the Room and Balcony, also from Dining Hall and Rooftop Cafe.

Amazing ambience.The house staff at The Retreat is ever smiling, very cooperative and eager to make your stay happy and happening here. Yummy food. Breakfast has great variety. Cafe serves good coffee and snacks. Mr. Arijit Chatterjee, the Manager is a very warm and helpful person. He is there to greet and address even the minutest of problem, if any cropped up during our stay.

I was there with my family during last November and that was one of my best stay. The view from hotel is breath-taking. Kanchenjunga was clearly visible from room's window and balcony. The reason for one of the best view from the hotel is that the hotel literally just below the Kanchenjunga view point.
Maintained all the covid protocols and sanitization. Room was cosy and the balcony was covered (you can open if you want to) with glass window so you can enjoy the view without getting bothered by the chilli weather during winter. Behaviour of all the staffs and specially the manager was very nice. Restaurant was clean and breakfast was good and food taste was also good.

Although according to Google, this hotel is a 2-star hotel, but in reality, it is a luxurious and amazing 3 or 4-star hotel. Good food, great location, good ambience and amazing rooms. During the puja season the price gets extremely high, but still amazing.

Stayed here from 17th to 23rd Dec, 2021. The property is well maintained having Kanchenjunga view throughout the day if you are lucky to have a clear sky. All the staffs were very friendly and co-operative. And the manager, Mr Arijit Chatterjee, is very helpful.
This place is a 10 min stroll from the main mall. But be mindful to return back before 7/8 PM as it gets a bit desolate.
Again, the food served in the Retreat is very delicious. Complimentary breakfast is pretty good too.

Mesmerizing view of the Kanchenjunga from the room itself. Only couple of rooms have this view. Ask for it when booking.

Hotel The retreat is a jem of a hotel in darjeeling. I stayed in the month of early oct with my family and was an awesome experience. The hotel has one of the best location with fantastic rooms and with fairly good compli brkfst..though the preparation of food needs to improve..otherwise quantity and spread is more than satisfactory. The staffs are very good. Spl thanks to Mr Sarkar..Mr Arijit and sabnam lama for not only providing me the best room at a discount but also serving us to the utmost. Mr Arijit as well as Sabnam lama and Raju and many others courteous behaviour is overwhelming. Thanks to them once again. The best part is the terrace which provides a fsntastic view. I would definitrly recommend other tourist simply because its a gem of a hotel.Next time i would definitely stay there and would request them to provide spl discount if possible. Thanks.

I and my family stayed in this hotel for two nights and three days and would like to share mu experience this place is one of the best hotel as per my opinion the staff,and every staff of this hotel are very good.Mr Arijit is just the person who will make every thing perfect for you.The food served is just awesome.The location is just perfect.This hotel is such a place which gives you a homely atmosphere.Mr Arijit will always be there to guide you with any help needed by anyone.I really loved this place. Just give it a try and I am sure you will be 💯 percent satisfied.

Location-wise, this hotel is highly appreciable. This hotel owns view point, from where you will enjoy great view of Mt. Kanchenjunga if weather is clear. There are Suites, super deluxes and deluxes to accommodate guests at reasonable tariff. There is a multi-cuisine restaurant . Staffs are good and cooperative.

Actually the review title was my final expression about "The Retreat", which is according to us one of the finest hotels in Darjeeling. I am a bit fond of quality hotels during travel and found it passing through my personal quality control test..😉😉

Location: The hotel is located just beside Raj Bhawan, away from the hustle bustle of the busy Darjeeling town and at a peaceful serene area. Being situated beside the hill, the glorious Mt Kanchenjunga is visible from the room window itself. The hotel is beautifully decorated both from interior and exterior and its balcony will keep you speechless eyeing the whole Greater Himalayan Range. Not like big and formal hotels, its coziness and serenity will force you to fall in love at first sight. The mall is a just 10 mins serene natural hilly canopy walk from here and there you can connect with the rest of the town.👍👍

Accomodation: Rooms are good, well decorated and cozy. Bathroom is nice with all time hot water supply. But the main attraction is peeping from the window you will be stunned seeing the whole majestic Kanchenjunga range just in front of you. Without making a tedious and crowdy journey to Tiger hill you can enjoy the sunrise from the room or hotel balcony itself. Bed quality and other things are quite good.👌👌

Food: Breakfast was simple and good. You have the options of both Indian and Continental breakfast with bread, butter, jam, eggs (boiled / fried), some fruits, cornflakes, puri, sabji, poha, tea, coffee and juice. It was tasty enough to fill your tummy. Main attraction is taking your breakfast with an eye on the adorable morning fresh Kanchenjunga from the dining windows. Not much to say about the meals as we ordered only once. It tasted good. Only the chicken portion needs to be developed.✌✌

Staffs: We dealt with Mr A Chatterjee, the manager of the hotel, a man whom you can trust for any support you require. Whether it's related with the room service or tour guideline or conveyance, whatever. All staffs are courteous, loyal and with good behaviour and gesture.💖💖

Overall: Apart from the hustle bustle of the town and professionalism of the big hotels you can feel the coziness here with all your necessary amenities and just sitting in front of the majestic himalayan range and their big boss, Mt Kanchenjunga..🌟🌟

We stayed for just one night, but it was a very pleasant stay. The Executive room we stayed in was beautiful, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a magnificent balcony. The food was great, and the staff extremely professional and helpful.

Awesome experience.
Nice spacious room with awesome view from window (our bad luck that we missed the balcony attached room which has more beutiful view, due to already occupied by guest); 3/4 minutes walking distance from Mall road, washroom and other facilities are also good; and the most attractive thing is it's superb terrace cum relaxing area beside reception which makes it within top 3 hotels of Darjeeling ( as per my ranking, this is my 11th time in Darjeeling in last 10 years).
And last of all the friendly and helpful behaviour of its staffs, specially the manager "Arijit Da"; he is so nice that I think we must stay here in our future tour in Darjeeling.

I had a very good experience staying in this hotel. The rooms are very tidy and well maintained. Staffs are also very helpful and well-behaved. They even assisted me to plan the local tour by giving a quick guide of the communication and spots around.

This place has one of the best viewes of Kanchenjungha range in Darjeeling.. one can enjoy the treasures of snow while sitting in the room over a cup of hot coffee. Every rooms have mountain views. First time Myself and my Mom (80) went to Darjeeling this 2018 November. Stayed in 'The Retreat'. It was really very comfortable & memorable stay. Quite Organised. Location & views are very good. Hotel rooms and other facilities are quite good. Breakfast was very taste & enjoyed a lot. Management & Staff were really friendly and helpful. Having a cup of Darjeeling Tea and enjoying Kanchenjunga from the hotel room was really exciting. It was a good choice for us. Thanks 'The Retreat' for the memory.

We had a wonderful stay at Pine touch retreat for three days of duration. The whole staffs were very good and helping. Rooms were big and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel to every traveller who wants a hasslefree and pleasent stay at Darjeeling.

I must say hotel pine touch retreat is a heaven in the heart of darjeeling, the queen of hills. Geart hospitality by the owner and the hotel staff. Rooms were neat and tidy and size was pretty big. We went to Darjeeling on the occasion of new year eve and to surprise the hotel management had planned a surprise party for us at the roof top. I very happy and satisfied with the hotel. I would like to recommend everyone to book their rooms at pine touch retreat whenever they visit Darjeeling.
