Hotel Shangri-La Regency

We were there for three nights, and we had an awesome experience at Shangri-la regency! Would really recommend this hotel.

A bit away from crowded mall area, however its only 5 to 6 mins walk to Mall road.

We stayed at Deluxe Attic room which is at the 5th floor, and completely wooden room. It gives you nice aesthetic feeling. You will get the full view of Mt Kanchanjagya & sleeping budha range from the room *Room no 503
Food: 5/5
This hotel only serves Breakfast, they don't have the facilities for lunch or dinner. However, the breakfast was complimentary for us, we really loved the breakfast, they have Indian breakfast like Puri Sabji or English breakfast with sausage with fruit juice. Taste was awesome.
Hotel Stuff: They were very helpful and polite. Specially Anmol, this was boy too good

Location is perfectly okay for general tourists. We are satisfied with the arrangement and services as well. Amazing view of entire kanchenjunga from top floor attic room(5th flr)and from 4th floor dining hall. Definitely we consider this Hotel for our next visit. But aged people those who are heart disease/knee problem, for them it is very difficult for staircase.

The Queen of the Hills and I have a special connection and I keep going to Her often. So I had the privilege to stay in quite a few hotels/homestays in the Hills. That's why I can testify that Shangri-la is one of the best hotels in the town. Forget about the great location. The view from the rooms is enough to book this hotel. I've been to Snowlion (which is two buildings away from this hotel) also. But Shangri-la offers you that extra bit of warmth which some people crave. Every staff member is so full of warmth and ready to help you just like at Dekeling. The breakfast is fantastic and filling. As some of you are aware that this hotel also has a restaurant of the same name right at the Mall. So if you want, you can order food right from your room. The food from the restaurant is good. There's electric kettle in the rooms with teabags, sugar and milk provided. So when you're tired from all the walking and exploring, you can sit in the chair, relax and have a nice cup of tea and spend some 'me-time' while gazing at Kanchenjungha. 24x7 hot water is available, too, for those chilly days. In short, this is one of those hotels where you'd want to come back to. I know I will.

Excellent stay - very good value with beautiful views of the Himalayas! The staff were great and the hotel was wonderful.

Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. We booked the attic room which had the view of Kanchenjunga. The room was lovely. They offer both Indian and English breakfast. We opted for the English breakfast and it was nice. The only problem is they don't have a lift. Apart from that everything is nice about this place.

rooms: they are nice and big. balcony provided with sitting arrangements. attic rooms are best other rooms dont have views. lighting in the room is little dim .
food: their complimentary breakfast is awesome. they provide two option one continental one indian.
location: 7 mins from mall road.

It on the main area. With breakfast, the price was reasonable. The breakfast was yummy.

They provided heater for a nominal charge.

Thank you for a great stay. We had family traveling with us with one infant and one kid. Special thanks to Aniket, Sumiran and Daniel for making our stay wonderful with very responsive approach to our service requests. Also to mention housekeeping. Room's were very clean.

Stayed this hotel on last week of December, 2021. 5 min walk from Mall, behind the clock tower. Excellent location, majestic view of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Had free breakfast. They have both option - Indian and English. Excellent food. Must stay place.

Very cosy rooms, great Kanchenjunga view from our room on the third floor, great breakfast. Great location being very close to all the iconic restaurants and mall road like, keventers, glenary's, kunga and dekevas.. The only downside could be for older people and those physically handicapped since the building has no lift and stairs have to be taken to go up. The dining room is at the topmost floor and it's really beautiful. Lunch and dinner is not served but outside food is welcome. It worked in our favor as we went around the city trying several restaurants close by... The staff are courteous and helpful.. Also no central heating but heater is provided at meagre cost per night. Highly recommended..we thank the hotel for our awesome stay.

I enjoyed my stay with my family. Location wise it is very good hotel.Staffs are very courteous and humble. Very Good Service.They have arranged the cab for us. Overall it was a extremely good experience

Location of the hotel is very good, 5 minutes walking distance from taxi stand. Clean and tidy hotel. Quick service. Everything was functioning. Tasty breakfast. Staffs are very gentle and co-operating. One little thing bothered me, I had to went 5th floor that was also for the mesmerised view. I had a booking for deluxe attic room(mountain view)

Very Nice and professional hotel. Hospitality was excellent and I had memorable times at the stay. Everything was excellent from staff behaviours to hygiene.

Foods are so tasty. There are so many varieties to choose. The restaurant area is very spacy, cozy, comfort and feel like home. Interior decorations are beautiful. Staff behaviour is very Co operative. Clean hygienic toilet. Staffs are very jolly specially bar tender. They will attract you and make you order even if you don't want to. Best place to full fill your stomach in peaceful mind.

One of the best budget hotels in Darjeeling specially for couples. Very near to mall road neat and clean. Only negetive point is that this hotel has no lift so the senior citizens might face difficulty but that won't stop you to visit the place again and again. Attic rooms are best. Staffs are really helpful specially sumiran and aniket you guys are best. Will visit again .

I booked a double bedded room just the night before I reached in a very pick time. But the service and I received there is realy impressive. My room number was 302 and it was a city view room. But the room was dry, clean, nicely decorated with all necessary amenities like electric kettle and tea coffe arrangement. Bathroom was super clean with separate dry and wet area and 24 hours running hot and cold water. Hotel staffs are well mannered and very helpful. Moreover it's just 3-4 minutes walk from mal road and 10 minutes walk from main town. Really loved the experience.
Cons are they have a garbage area just before the entrance, also drains are clogged. So it's always a nasty smell prevail there infront of entrance. They don't have in house resturent. So no lunch, dinner and snaks are provided by them. But they have complementary breakfast which is really good in taste and amount. Also they provide free Wi-Fi.

Nice stay, The atmosphere and surrounding is good with awesome views, specially house boys are very generous Daniel, Aniket, Ankit etc they are very helpful, co-operative, joyous and giving full five star services awesome experiences whole staying... Beautiful interior decor and awesome view from hotel rooms & mainly restaurant on the top is there mouthwatering breakfast... One must stay here atleast for once... very close to Club Side Taxi Stand and Clock Tower. Recommended.

Had a great time at the hotel. You dont have to visit any view point to get a glimpse of Kanchenjunga. If you are staying in room 503/502 in attic you can enjoy the view right from your hotel. There are low ceiling in the Attic room so be careful about that. We only had breakfast there which was awesome. They have indian and continental options. The room is good, washroom is neat and clean. Staffs are efficient and courteous. 4th floor lounge is also a great place to hangout. They have a bar but they don't have a functional kitchen. So if you want to have lunch/dinner from the hotel you have to order 1hr before. They will fetch it from Shangri la wooden block near mall. Hotel location is also great. Everything is in walking distance.

Rooms are quite decent.nd all the staff r vry good in behaviour nd very helpfull.i went there with my 10months old baby child but the staffs were very helpful for allowing us to boil 🍼 milk for her or cooking baby food.

I just returned from my tour to Darjeeling. It was a beautiful tour because of our stay in this hotel.
1. Shangri la Regency is a hotel situated in Gandhi Road very near to Mall Road Darjeeling. You have to ride a slope to reach the hotel.
2. We got a double deluxe room (302 room number). It was cosy and beautiful with a balcony of magnificent view of Darjeeling. Attached bathroom , wardrobe, flat screen tv, geysure, electronic locker, electric kettle was present in the room.
3. Excellent breakfast served in the rooftop lounge. We enjoyed both Indian and English Breakfast.
4. Last but not least the staffs are very cortious and helpful. I like to mention about Aniket and Keval both were very sweet young guy serving and helping all the guest with smile on face. Good gesture always brings great outcome.
No complain is there. Just a request please start an in house resturant for serving lunch and dinner.
Overall this hotel is great I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
