Sri Someswara Swamy Temple

Someswara Swamy Temple 🛕 is an ancient temple of Lord Shiva at an isolated location near Appikonda sea beach. This is located back side of the Visakhapatnam Steel plant and almost 25 -30 kms from Visak City.
This temple is believed to be one of oldest Shiva temple in India aging more than 1000 years.
Lord Shiva along his Nandi and others are being worshipped here on daily basis by the local villagers.
This please becoming very crowded during Shiva Ratri festival.
One can go to this temple daytime only as the place has very limited facilities.
This is a divine and sacred ✨ place.

A very acient temple may around 12th century AD , the most fascinating is Nandi which is carved of Blackstone . The temple was built by Cholas as per writing in temple and was under Commander in Chief of Cholas
