Barula Hotel

One of the best hotels in Kargil. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Mr Pavan Singh helped us plan our trip and arranged for cab wherever required.
Location is a little away from the main market, but if you prefer solitude, the mountain views are great.

Bonus: There were apricot trees within the hotel premises and July is fruiting season. The staff was kind enough to give us a bag full of fresh apricots for free. 🤩

This hotel in Kargil located a bit away from the hustle bustle of the Kargil Town in a quiet and peaceful place. The property is old but fully stuffed with all the necessary amenities. The most attractive thing about this hotel is their top notch hospitality and service quality. We stayed a night on our way to Leh from Srinagar and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The food was awesome too. They had good options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

This hotel is absolutely amazing and had absolutely great experience. . rooms are clean and Spacious with beautiful view of mountains. We opted for breakfast and dinner and food taste and quality was mind blowing. Hotel staff is very humble and always happy to help. Overall loved this experience

Beautiful place with amazing views. They have some antique music instruments to play with. Always supportive to the bikers serves healthy breakfast and dinner. Room are well ventilated and clean. Ample of parking space.

This hotel is very nice. I stay here one day but I feel very nice. Staff is very supportive and good. And Food was osum. I suggest when you go Kargil must stay in Hotel Barula .

The place was awesome. The rooms well equipped and the hospitality provided was top notch. A must visit place to stay when you reach Kargil. The food was also really good. Do carry winter clothes while you reach because the temperature in kargil would go below 0 uptil -2 at night.

I would give a five star for the place.

I stayed here last week with my family. I booked 2 rooms. It was simply amazing. The place is absolutely clean, with amazing staff. They have amazing breakfast and dinner buffet and you can't expect anything better at such reasonable price. The staff and the owner are very friendly and warm person. Without any hesitation, I will strongly recommend this place.

Baru La Hotel is located in a quiet suburb of Kargil called Baroo or Baru. It's a little off the main city and market but that's not a problem if you have a vehicle. It's surrounded by beautiful snow topped mountains and small farms. The hotel itself is not very big. There's a small garden with apple & apricot trees and vegetable patches. Our rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The bathrooms were also clean and we had running hot water. The beds were comfy and we all had a good night's sleep. They have a restaurant and the food at dinner and breakfast was very good - it was fresh, hot and delicious. They had WiFi internet but it was not very good and the signal was patchy. The best part was their service which was very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is damn good , its food , hospitality service , helping's are damn good. The staff is very cooperative . The staff helped us in each nd everything thing and provided with each and everything we needed. The location is also cool . 🙂☺

A nice property having decent owners who extend their hospitality thus far to take time out describing the history of the place and many more interesting facts to the tourist. With the help of the hotel team we were able to explore not only kargil but changed our rout to see much more about that region.
Well talking about the hotel: it's comforts and food we must say they may be new to the industry but their sense of hospitality and food tests are very mature, you will definitely get a cozy feeling.

An awesome place for a pitstop. Stayed here for 3 days and ive never had a better experience in any hotel I've stayed so far. The staff is extremely homely and courteous. Parking is a bit of a hassle but if you've driven this far in your car to ladakh, reversing a bit shouldnt be an issue. The food is amazing and the menu is exhaustive. Best place to acclimatize, plus, WiFi ;)

Of my 10 day days in Ladakh, this was one of the most comfortable stay. The owner of the hotel (Azgar Barula) is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to, he prepared an itinerary for our day and also gave useful tips that made our travel even more interesting. The food was overwhelming. The room was outstanding.

I stopped here in the middle of my motorcycle trip to Ladakh, this place offers a secure parking lot for cars and motorcycles, yet it is situated far from the noisy road so I could relax and sleep without being disturbed. All the rooms are very clean and tidy, bathrooms are equipped with water heaters and comfortable European style toilets, so I was able to enjoy the level of comfort I'm used to. Most of the rooms offer a marvelous view onto the surrounding mountains, I spent hours staring out of the window while doing my freelance job. The canteen of this hotel offers traditional north Indian meals as well as some common European foods. Staff is very friendly and willing to cooperate. The concierge can even help you to obtain a local sim card, and the process is tricky! Sheets and towels are always clean, mattresses are big and cosy, so it's such a relief to have a standard of hospitality while staying in this fine establishment!
