Very spacious rooms with a mountain View balcony- from where Mt. Kanchenjunga is clearly visible. Staff service is good and prompt. Window towards balcony rooms also available. Outside food not allowed. Beautiful setting. High up the mountains.

Excellent budget stay with cordial staff and delicious food. The mesmerising view of the Kanchenjunga is unmissable from the window of the premium rooms. The location is a bit offbeat from the city centre but it's worth every bit of the tiny trouble reaching this place. Would suggest them to provide mandatory room heaters in the room for the freezing cold during the winters as compared to the nominal charge they take for it now. Overall one of the most welcoming stays :)

It is one of the most favorite hotels I have stayed at in Darjeeling. Great view, great people and great food. Hotel staff are very helpful and cooperative. I will recommend everyone to stay there.

It was excellent. Amazing view of Kanchanjunga from the balcony and you don't need to rush to tiger hill for that. Even from room also it is clearly visible. Staffs are very co-operative and we'll mannered. Clean rooms and washroom. Room service was good. Food quality was also upto the mark. In a pocket friendly budget it's a great place to stay .

I'm satisfied with the Room..all the staffs were too good.. polite and quick service received whenever it's required..only the location is little bit far from mal otherwise everything was perfect! Food was average..but everything has been covered up with the hotel rooms and services! I want to visit there again!

They have the best customer service. Rooms were very clean and neat. Comfy bed and clean bed sheets. They also gave us free breakfast. I had the best paranta in Darjeeling here at the Sala trees. If I ever visit Darjeeling again. I’ll stay at Sala tree for sure. They also has the best view from the room. Clean inside out environment. Staff were very friendly. I love it here. 🤍🤍🤍🤍

Wherever I have stayed till now, I haven't received such a fantastic reception. Whole of the staff was amazing. View of Kanchenjunga is the best here.Food was awesome and above all Nanda madam is there always to help you out taking all the responsibility of yours. The safest hotel in Darjeeling.

It was a lovely stay at Salatrees with such a mesmerizing view of Kanchanjanga. Their service was too good, the food quality was just awesome. In such a price we had a lovely vacation, thank you so much Nanda and the whole team for all the service. Would visit again and of course with a longer vacation.

Beautiful and comfort stay in the darjeeling behind the mighty kanchanjunga. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food resonable and home made taste. Service very polite and helpful.

Like any beautiful story, mine is going to start with a fortunate meeting on a shared Jeep packed with people going to Darjeeling, West Bengal. Here I've met Rihanna, the daughter of the owner of Sala trees hotel who was squeezed between me and the Jeep's door. It was probably the last Jeep up for the day and I didn't have any reservation for the night. We started to talk by chance and she told me her family is running an hotel in Darjeeling. She called home to know if there was any room available and, YES! They had one that would suits me and my pockets!
I believe in destiny and its many ways to show up, so I accepted!
And I really couldn't be more lucky because Darjeeling at 9 PM looks like a ghost town. All restaurants seemed to be closed and nobody on the roads because of the cold! When I checked into the hotel I had the warmest welcome and a wonderful complimentary dinner too! My room was far better and comfy than any other place I've slept in India on my 40 days trip, on the same price range, with a soft soft bed and spotless bedsheets and towels! Breakfast was complimentary and changing every single day! I really felt home! There are so many other things I could write about my 4 nights staying with the beautiful family that runs this hotel, but that would be too long.
But if you are looking for a clean, comfy and well located room, with a breathtaking view over the Kanchenjunga mountain, If you are looking for people that really care about their guests more like family members than like customers...
If you are looking for a smiling host that really can give you a different level of experience in hosting....
Then, welcome home!

Hidden gem in Darjeeling. Main attraction: Their balcony. You can see the whole city with the Sleeping Buddha in the background.

A little out of the way gem of a place. Fresh clean linen, towels , and a spic and span bathroom. Not to mention the smart LED TV with Netflix subscription. And the view from the balcony is awesome

This is a hotel has a 180° view of darjeeling..

And its located on most hilly site of darjeeling.

Hospitality her a is superb .. owner of the hotel and the family is very friendly and helpful in nature

And if you happent to come to for a stay here.... the home minister of the house is a master chef... (special thanks for making a jain food). And it was of the best quality and the best taste ..

On day 2 in darjeeling we went off to nepal for a ride ...

While we came back all shops and restaurants were closed ...

The owner himself was awaiying for us tk return... and when we told him that we didn't got the food tonight ...

He immediately ask us not to worry and gave a Maggie noogles which was also enough to push off the night ...

We were first guests in this hotel. It was great experience. Very speicial rooms, very clean and made with love. .. unusial vews from balcony of the Kanchenjunga and holl Darjeeling. The owners very very hospitable. We stayed 3 days and was happy there. Recommend.
