I dont know why people write so many negative comments. Maybe competitors? My experience is very good. They couriered all the items to my home in Hyderabad and one item is broken in transit and they couriered again with free of cost. Vijay Singh is very sweet n helpful person. Yes, rates are little high otherwise quality is good! I am ordering some more items ftom Hyderabad…

Do not get misled by these people, in fact it is a conspiracy of few guides of Jaisalmer and Jaipur, in which they will tell you about some special artwork or object of that place during their tour as well as tell you that the official shop of Rajasthan government is outside buy it from there and when you go out, they themselves will drop you off at that shop.
The real trap is here, 'Rajasthali Development Corporation' is not a government shop, here these people are selling fake things at three to five times more price, in which the commission of that guide is also included.
The same incident happened to us in Jaisalmer, this Rajsthali shop has sold us fake Habur stone utensils for almost five times more price, whereas those same utensils were available in "Jaisalmer Army Museum" at very convenient prices and of good quality.
So whoever goes to this tourist places, do not get entangled in the words of these greedy guides and use your patience and mind, Also the most suitable place to buy Genuine Habur stone in my view is "Jaisalmer Army Museum", where you are giving money to the right people at the right place and that money will go to the service of the soldiers of our country, not in the pockets of these greedy robber guides as a commission.

(I have uploaded the pic of our Jaisalmer Guide he told his Name was Rahul, but i don't think this was his real name) be careful next time..

Tour Carefully..

These kind of shops have taken my trust out of handlooms altogether....
They said maharani saree that is worth 5500/- after some bargaining gave for 50% off at 2750..
My heart broke after seeing the same saree at "village handloom" at Jaipur for 1500/-.
I was devastated to see the same saree again at a shop near Hawa Mahal Jaipur for 900/- without discount...
This is the last time I am buying anything at premium because of handloom tag...

"Be aware of fraudsters at Jaisalmer." This place claims as a Government Undertaking under RTDC, however their RTDC stands for M/S Rajasthali Textile Development Corporation. Nowhere It is mentioned as M/S except bill that means it is purely private property also lastly they have accepted they have no relation with Government. So, please do not fall in their trap with the help of Guide and Driver.
I wish to give negative if available.

Misleading shop name (it’s not the real ‘Rajasthali Textile Corporation Development’), over-priced. Shoddy quality. Rude shop guys.
Avoid being scammed!

As someone said, the good government must take action against these frauds
This is not written by any competitor, but by someone who has been duped. These people claim to be a government run place, quoting prices as they like, and since we trust government run places,we did not question at first
Came to realise they have charged us 10 times the cost
DO NOT TRUST THE GUIDES
Do your own research and go

They are running scam alongwith local taxi drivers and guides. Local guide will take you at this shop who seems to have already commission fixed. They are selling products at exorbitant price. Kindly dont purchase anything from this shop. I have. made purchase of Rs10k to realize later on that these products were not even worth of half of this price. Such kind of shops should be banned.

Exorbitantly priced stuff, more than twice the market rates. You can buy same stuff much cheaper at any other shop. Though the name says ‘ Rajasthali’ it is most likely not a government store- like Rajasthali emporiums which are government owned. They provide ‘Kachcha ‘ bill without any GST etc. Clearly they are looting looting the tourists, who are there for 1 or 2 days .

Highly overpriced. Do not buy stuff from here. It seems they give 40% commission to guide who bring tourist here. Buy at places where there are multiple shops. I enquired a vessel made of stone for making curd and quoted price 2500....same thing I got in Jaisalmer war museum for 700.
