For those who are looking for a unique experience then Chenchu Lakshmi Tribal Museum is the place for them to visit. This tribal museum is located near the entrance to Srisailam town. This museum presents a glimpse into the lives of various indigenous tribes who are residing in the Srisailam forests. This museum has been after Chenchu Lakshmi, consort of Narasimha Swamy. Statue of Chenchu Lakshmi can also be seen at the museum.

Here at the museum, one can get a better understanding of the lives of these tribes, their practices and culture. One of the prominent tribes in the Nallamala Hills is Chenchus. Nallamala forest has been the residing abode of these tribes with close to no contact with the outside world. However, after the construction of the concrete road by the government, sometimes members of these tribes can be seen interacting with tourists.

This tribal museum has two floors; each floor displaying a wide array of artifacts related to various tribes. Some of the objects displayed at the museum include Idols of Gods, weapons, objects of daily use, musical instruments and many more.

In the vicinity of the museum, there is also a park which is dotted with images of dinosaurs, tribal huts, etc. There is also children play area inside the museum complex. Visitors can also buy locally collected honey at the shop in museum. The honey sold here is collected by the members of tribes and is sold by the state government.

The opening timings of Chenchu Lakshmi Museum are from 8.30 AM to 8 PM. The entry fee at the tribal museum is Rs. 10 per person. It is located at a distance of around 1 km from the Srisailam bus stand and hence can be reached easily. Tourists can hire locally run auto rickshaws or travel in their own vehicle to the museum.

Excellent initiative and a unique place to visit, it has various tribe names and their way of living with representation of their sculptures, houses, activities, celebrations, occupation etc. All of that is neatly written on the walls for each tribe and also a numbered depiction is provided for all tools. Those are actual tools used by tribes for their livelihood, including hunting knives, bow and arrows, kitchen utensils, tools. Apart from this, the area itself is developed as a nice park with small play area for kids as well, the outside sculptures are also very realistic.
Entry fee is minimal and no ticket for kids below 10 years, it has good parking space too, must visit when you are in Srisailam.

Here you can witness instances of the livelihoods and cultures of the tribes of Andhra Pradesh at the Chenchu Lakshmi Museum. Also, there is so many statue which looks good.
Entrance fees is 20 Rs each.
Mobile allowed so you can take pics. There is so much fun places for children, best time to visit here is in morning or evening. Otherwise as it's in open area so it will felt hot in daytime.
Here you can read about the tribes and their cultures, kind of history lesson and when you see then it's easy to remember.

The museum is portraits various tribes and their living styles of Andhra and many other places of Inida. The models show us the way of their homes, living style, hunting weapons, musical instruments, utensils and many more. A good information is given on the models and yet need to be well maintained. The exterior part of museum will be a good fun for kids.
