This Jyotirlinga is considered the most sacred abode of Lord Shiva.

One day journey & back from Hyderabad. Covered with forest.

Be careful of monkeys when you drive through the forest. Drive slowly to avoid any injury to monkeys.

You can see 🦌 & other animals also through out the forest road.

Words are not there to define this place. God's own place, just plan and go there to have a one to one meet with the supreme power. There is a nice curly way to enjoy the ride and test your drive. Awesome nature view with a nice forest on the way. Things to take care of while making a plan to visit.

*Book e-tickets in advance at your home.
*Carry the print out of the e-tickets.
*If going without e-tickets, the ticket window will be off for 12 - 2 pm so make plans accordingly.

Apart from the temple there is a shikharam and octopus view to visit.

I recently visited the temple and was amazed by the serene and spiritual atmosphere. The temple is situated on the flat top of Nallamalai Hills and is one of the most ancient kshetras in India. The shrine of Lord Mallikarjuna is beautifully crafted and is a must-visit for those who are spiritually inclined. The temple is also home to the Shakti Peeth, making it a unique place where both Jyotirlinga and Shakti Peeth are in the same place.

The temple is surrounded by picturesque views of the Nallamalla forest and the Krishna river. The roads leading to the temple are well-maintained and pass through some forest areas with very scenic backdrops of mountains and dams. The temple premises are clean and well-maintained, and the service is prompt.

Overall, I had a memorable and peaceful experience at the Srisailam Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spiritual retreat.

Phone and other electronic devices are not allowed in temple so better to keep it in your car.

This place usually remain crowded so keep a full day plan for it.
Another important note is this area comes under forest so entry and exit have specific time I.e between 6am to 6pm

If you are planning to visit this temple you can buy tickets online or offline as well. Recommend ticket is RS 500 per person. For Abhishek only online booking works no offline option for it.
Also there is a Shakshi Ganpathi temple which everyone should visit after joytirlinga

I visited this temple in the morning at 4:30 am and I can say this is the best time to visit the temple, because the amount of people are less and the climate is good.

This temple consists of one Jyotirilingam( Mallikarjuna Swamy)
Which is second in Dvadasa Jyotirilingas and one ashtadasha sakthi pitam known as " Bhramaramba Devi".

This place looks like heaven and feel good .

We took the road trip route to reach Srisailam. We stayed at the hill top property and visited for darshan the next morning, that way we could enjoy the surrounding and ensure a peaceful darshan. The food at the hilltop restaurant was better than average and you will find a lot of eateries at Srisailam as well. If you have time, visit patalganga for boating and cable car, visit few temples around, eco parks and just enjoy the surreal beauty of the valley

Hyderabad to Srisailam is 220km. Via Tiger reserve it will take 4hr 30min. Leave from Hyderabad by morning 5am so that you can reach by 10 am max. There will be multiple Toll plaza which will cost in total of ₹600 approx for one side. There won't be any signal in that Tiger reserve area road which is around 130km.

Do visit the Sakshi Ganesh Mandir before visiting the Jyotirlinga which is on the way to the main temple. At Ganesh temple it won't take much time.

Then from Ganesh temple the Jyotirlinga temple is 7km far. You have to keep the car near the fountain made of different gods which will be free. Then you have to walk for 500m or take an auto of ₹20 each till the temple.

To keep phone and shoes you can directly go to the entry. Do carry cash or you can visit the website for advance booking. For phones they will take ₹10 per phone with a receipt. For shoes it's free. We took ati sighra darshan which was ₹350 per person.

The attires which is needed for general till Ati sighra ones is basic normal clothing for men like jeans and T-shirt. For women little traditional like salwar kameez. For ₹500 one you need to wear dhoti and shirt or bare . For women proper saree.

For ₹300 it took us 2hr 45min for waiting and 15min for darshan. Waiting area is nice where you can sit under fan and washroom facility too there.

Do complete both Jyotirlinga and Shaktipeeth. And the ATM for buying Prasad is near the counters where we buy ₹300 ticket for darshan. Do carry a lot of water.

One of The Holiest Shrines of India. Jyotirlinga Lord Shiva.
Very Nicely Managed.
I will request the visitors to carry " Water Bottles, Soap, Towels, Few readymade edibles etc" because none of the accommodation centres provide anything.
One should carry along with them.
