Awesome experience we have gathered there. Small n cute hostel cum cafe... Very beautiful the whole ambience was. And yes the scenic beauty through the window was beyond awesome ❤we have booked one private room nd the room was so clean n lovely n yes the washroom also too good

The staff here was helpful. The location was confusing to get to because the locals weren't guiding me properly, but I spoke to the person taking care of the hostel, and she helped me get here. It has a lovely view of the hills of darjeeling and also kanchenjunga . It is at a height be prepared to walk a bit but the views from here are totally worth it.

It's good for backpacking. Very near to mall road. Get all kind of food in mall road, have good small cafes nearly. You can see the kangchenjunga view from hostel but it's not a clear view as we don't have terrace for this hostel.

Nice place for backpackers. I enjoyed my 2 day stay here very much. The upper floor has a cafe with a nice view. Highly recommended.

It is a cosy place to stay. I was travelling solo, and I booked a private room. It was spacious and clean. The hosts are courteous helpful and friendly. Their cafe is also beautiful, serves excellent food. It was quite an enjoyable experience. Will definitely come here again 😊

Located near Mall road and Chowrasta.
Walking distance from Darjeeling Station.
Staff are so well behaved and helpful.
The room and bed were so clean with a clean bathroom.
They provide hot water for bath, You just have to inform them to turn on geyser.
They even have a small cafe inside for breakfast and coffee and an amazing view of Darjeeling Vally.

This hostel is located nearly 1 km away from Chowrasta. A nice quiet place with beautiful views. The dorms are a little small but comfortable, and have geysers attached to the bathroom making it very convenient for hot showers. Also the people who run the place are super helpful and friendly. Do try their tea, hot chocolate and pancakes. The view from the cafe is very serene. A nice place to relax and work/ drink tea. Will definitely come back here when I come to Darjeeling.

I booked this hostel directly for a day. It has two ways to reach. Unfortunately I took the toughest route which is close to the taxi stand. It was extremely steep and made my lungs out of place. I would suggest taking the route near the horse stable. It's a straight and easier route. But the view from the hostel will make your climb worth it. The rooms were clean. The washroom was big enough and super clean. They also have a beautiful cafeteria. This place offers free Wi-Fi. Geyser and paid laundry service is available as well. The staff's behaviour is very polite and friendly. I would like to visit this property again and highly recommend this for solo travelers.

Wonderful place to stay. Very warm and helpful hosts who made my stay very comfortable.
It's located just 5 minutes away from Chowrasta (Mall) by walk, and is almost at the top of the hill so the view is stunning. You can see the kanchenjunga from the balcony and the cafe, as well as the Foothills. The dorms and bathrooms are very clean and we'll maintained regularly. The common room is spacious and well set for work or leisure. The cafe upstairs is a cherry on top with affordable and tasty food throughout the day. If you're a solo traveller or a small group of friends looking for a place to bunk and base your Darjeeling tour from, this is the perfect spot for you,

Owners are very helpful and nice. Place is so amazing 5 minute walk from the chowrasta/mall road. Clean, enough water, giser. Best for solo travelers.

Hideout is a hidden gem (hard to find but management will guide you if you contact them) 2 min away from Chowrasta, the town center, managed by 2 siblings that will make you feel more like a guest friend instead of just a costumer. They will make sure that you get the help, tips and advice you need around the whole region and transportation within it.
The hostel itself is quite small, cozy and equipped with very cool indoors and outdoors common areas. Rooms have a lot of natural light with outstanding views over the town, tea plantations, surrounding mountains and even Kanchenjunga! Bathrooms are inside the dorms and being all renovated.
Although it is a bit hard to find, it is not hard to reach; just a few minutes walking from the city center. It's a nice peaceful place to stay with friends or as a solo traveler.
They organize trekking tours and they have nice mountain bikes that you can rent at the facilities.
Rates are nice for the region and, on top of that, they have a nice choice of tasty homemade breakfast options for fair prices.

One of the best hostels to stay in Darjeeling. It is located very close to important points in the city and yet secluded enough for you to enjoy your stay. Cost is very reasonable for this location.

You can wake up to breath taking views of the Kangchenjunga right from the corridor. They also have a cafe to get some quick bites and hangout. The hosts are very sweet and helpful in making any requested arrangements and planning your trip in Darjeeling. They have bicycle rentals too!

I felt very safe as a solo traveler, and also working from here. There are lockers to lock your important stuff while you are out exploring. The common room is very comfortable to work from with table, chairs. The WiFi speed is not the best but decent, and can always be supplemented with mobile data.

Had booked for 2 night🌙 at the deluxe room with my sister👩🏼 and the room was clean and great 👍view of Kanchenjunga from the bed itself..
The cafe serves good food and the owners stays at the property itself, which makes the place safe and convenient.
I loved🥰 my and would definitely stay here again.

A small cozy place aptly named, a hidden gem with homely hosts and a beautiful view. You can see the kanchenjunga range from the terrace if you manage to wake up early.

We had booked it for just one night but fell absolutely in love with the place and decided to stay longer. The rooms are cozy and clean but the best part is the terrace where you can hangout with the owners who are very nice and cool.

I rarely give 5 stars to a place, but Hideout Backpackers hostel deserves it. My 15 days stay here was very nice. It's best place to meet other travellers and get connected. There are some cons, but for a regular traveler it doesn't bother. Food is tasty but limited menu. Location is one of the best. View of Mt. Kangchenjunga from hostel is one of the key points. Hosts are very helpful. It is located near to so many attractions and best restaurants. Would love to stay there for my next visit.

Spent almost two weeks here. Loved the place and would certainly recommend it to everyone looking for a place to stay in Darjeeling. Bhoomika and Ashwin are extremely kind, helpful and really look after their guests well. The cafe has some yummy food and is a chill place to hang out after exploring the town. Met some great people. Look forward to visiting again.

One of the most fantastic things about this hostel was the view from the roof top and also from the balcony outside my dormitory. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Absolutely amazing hostel to stay in Darjeeling for people travelling solo. Breathtaking views of snow clad mountains if the weather is clear. Since the hostel was full when I went in December, I stayed in the tent you can see in the picture. The hosts are really warm and welcoming. Highly recommended! Food options are pretty good. Books available for reading and exchange. Will definitely stay there if in Darjeeling ever again.
