Daramdin is a small hamlet in the West Sikkim that is located at a distance of 120 from Gangtok. The village falls under the latitudes and longitudes of the some of the beautiful places of attraction in West Sikkim like Kaluk-Ringpongchen, Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary, Sombaria, Soreng, etc.Daramdin was ruled by a feudal king Na Hang in the 1st century. The name Daramdin is derived from the local Lepcha language ‘Dalom’ meaning a place of rest or a flat land. The recently built Sai Mandir (temple) in Daramdin is an interesting pilgrimage destination.

This is a Sai temple. Built under the guidance and blessings of Sri Satya Sai, the main idol is that of Bhagwaan Shirdi Sai......There is a center carpet (cloth actually) that is blessed with impression of his footprint. The temple Pujari says that the impression is of the day of the opening of the temple. One feels really peaceful and relaxed inside the temple as it is not crowded. The temple is beautifully made and decorated as well.

This place is really a blessed one.
As I was worried about the accommodation over Daramdin, I could find two lodges at Daramdin Bazar.
The people who are planning to visit needn't worry.You can easily go from Jorthang via Taxi Service(daily) just you need to ask the driver to drop you at Daramdin Bazar.
