Bio Diversity Museum

Good place for biodiversity enthusiasts. Parking space available.

Really a good experience. This place is very useful to students as well as for people for acquiring knowledge about nature. There is a 3D show. A live show with nasa detail supporting. These shows were excellent. Totally this is a must visit place for knowledge seekers.

Shows are not running due to covid. Good for children's 6+. Nothing fancy here.. But surely knowledge can be gained.

Also staffs are very friendly.

You are in Thiruvananthapuram and you want to spend 2 hours in some where unique and special . Go there and the slides and 3d videos, kiosk gives you good information about environment . Must for school children.

It is a really nice setup to learn about the awesome biodiversity of kerala and india. Unfortunately it is very lowly maintained and most of the facilities are closed.
We saw two main attractions which were the 3d screen and the Space on a sphere. Space on a sphere is very educational and highly recommended.
Execellent for student field trips.
You will get to know why this place os called 'Vallakadavu' once u visit here.

A fantastic initiative from Kerala govt. Everyone must take their children at least once to this place.

The major attraction is the Biodiversity Gallery – a gallery with a variety of bio diversity of both India and Kerala.
Exhibits, dioramas, scaled down models, interactive kiosks, LCD displays are some other attractions.
A 3D theatre with a seating capacity of 50 seats is also there. Science on Sphere (SOS) is another attraction of the park.

Visitors will have a beautiful experience at the museum. It has exhibits which shows the biodiversity of the country. The main attraction is their Science on a Sphere (SOS) Where real time data is projected on a sphere. They also do have a 3D projection facility. The museum functions on all days except mondays from 10.30am to 7pm

Great place for students to get knowledge about the biodiversity of kerala and India. Good museum with lots of audio visuals and interaction systems. Must to see Museum of its kind.

A state of art Biodiversity museum was set up at Vallakadavu by Kerala State Biodiversity Board with galleries which gives an overview  of  the  ecosystem  and Biodiversity of India with special focus on Kerala. The Museum housed at Vallakadavu Boat House a heritage building  is aimed at providing awareness about biodiversity, species and ecosystem diversity, biodiversity conservation activities in Kerala, in India and at Global level and sustainable utilization of biodiversity. The major attraction is the Bio diversity Gallery – a gallery with a variety of bio diversity of both India and Kerala.

It is good place to hangout with your people . only con is no one can notice this kind of museum as it ever existing in tvm

Learned something new about nature and biodiversity. The key objective of this museum to preserve nature from deforestation and other ma n made disasters.
