Varkala Sivagiri

I loved this railway station. This station has halt for every train 🚂. Located in beautiful place. Passengers or travellers can hire an auto to reach the famous Varkala Beach and Varkala Cliff from here with minimum fare of 150 rupees. Station is very neat and clean.

The only one stop fancy beach destination in South India, also called Goa of Kerala .

A good station. This station is very near to Varkala Sivagiri pilgrim centre. If you are going by bus then we'll have to go to the entrance of the station and take a bus towards Sivagiri. Or if you prefer walking is just walkable distance from this station to Varkala Sivagiri pilgrim centre that is almost 2 kilometres. Varkala Beach or known as papanasam beach is very near also but you need to walk almost 3to 4 km from the station if you prefer walking it would be apt to take a bus or a cab or even an auto rickshaw. The staffs here are friendly too.

Good station. Basic Indian Railways amenities are available like- cloak room, multiple food and snack stalls, pay and use toilet,etc. Railway staff is helpful. Some trains like Kanyakumari to Pune train compartment/ bogie are mentioned against their respective places at the platform. 3 platforms are there. There is a trolley entrance separately by the side.

Varkala Sivagiri is one of the busiest railway station in Thiruvananthapuram division with a footfall of more than 11,000 passengers per day. There are two mini restaurants in this railway station. Amenities in the station are good. It is just opposite to the bus stand.

The railway station is good and basic facilities are available. Transit is available 24 hrs . There is waiting room. We can get bus to the beach just outside of the railway station.

Railway station associated with one of the finest pilgrim and tourism destinations of South Kerala. A private bus stand is just opposite to this and can have enough services as well. Railway reservation counter, luggage counter and restaurant are available

Although a sub Urban town of Trivandrum but the station is maintained beautifully. Almost every intra state train does have stoppage and a few interstate train as well. Has two platforms only connected through a usual over bridge.

It's the excellent beach 8 Km long full of resorts, etc..

Nice and clean railway station. No restaurants near by. Bus stop and autostand is just outside railway gate near to platform 1. Auto guy charges 1km 20 rs.
