Hot Stimulating Cafe

It was a pitstop for us the first time, but the beverages were so amazing that we added this place to our list for a second visit. If you are in Darjeeling you must try this place. You'll love it! Like we did.

Nov 23. We stopped here twice on our visit to Darjeeling. A quaint little spot with indoor and outdoor seating. It is a short walk from town on the way down to the Zoo and near Nigtingale park. Lovely couple running the place. Darjeeling tea is good. Veg momos were great (65Rs). Good view from the outdoor area.

This place is very close to my heart. Every time I visit darjeeling I must visit this place. Aunty is very much polite and soft spoken to us always. Momos here is a must try.

This unassuming place is off the governor's house, on the road. It seats 36 people, including outdoor and indoor tables.
Their momo is superb, so is the Darjeeling tea.
Price point is extremely reasonable. The view from the outdoor seating area is breathtaking.
And there are cats.

A must visit if you are in Darjeeling. Way better than all the other recommended places. A fifteen mins walk from chowrasta. Head here for great views of Darjeeling. One must get a table outside. It's owned and run by an old couple. Perfect place for momos and coffee.

This is a small but an outstanding cafe on the way to the zoo to spend time and relax. Here we got the authentic flavor of Darjeeling tea and momos and the soup was delicious. We enjoyed 'B for T' a millet beer served in a bamboo glass with a bamboo pipe. Also the owners of the cafe were very courteous.

Probably the best vegetarian momos in Darjeeling. They’re juicy, and the chutney is spicy - makes for a great combination. Frequented by school kids, which should also tell you about its VFM. They serve both steamed and fried momos. Outside and indoor seating are both available, and if the weather is favourable you can get a good view of the mountains.

Check out this place after a visit to the zoo and HMI, both of which are at a walking distance.

Awesome cafe. The old lady there was too sweet and the taste is marvelous with just a simple lower price. We took black coffe, tea, pancake with honey Thukpa and chow wai wai. The wai and pancake was just yum being homemade. This place has a nice scenario available as well.

A very offbeat and comfy place. The old couple at the place are very friendly and adds that extra bit of charm to the experience. Everyone should try their homemade beer and tea (preferrably together)

We came here for a Momo making class and had the most wonderful time. The lady conducting the class was lovely and we exchanged stories throughout the class. She explained everything very well and the momos were delicious. We ate some together and got to take the rest home. It was an absolute highlight during our time in Darjeeling.

Quality is not the same as earlier it used to be. But a good place to chill-out. Have tongba and momo. Also Darjeeling special tea if you are tea lover.

Small neat cafe on the way to Zoo and HMI. Very welcoming owner and good coffee with a nice view.

The place is not so highly decorated but the view was really nice. We ordered wai wai, sausage and momo. The wai wai and sausage was delicious. And also the price was within the budget.

Very friendly, talkative and helpful owners. Tasty food and chai. Located in a quiet area, not so far from the Zoo. An ideal place to relax and unwind.

A fantastic cafe, full of nostalgia from the old school Darjeeling times. This place is located between the Raj Bhavan and the Zoo. With fantastic views of the Darjeeling town, having a hot cup of coffee with a steaming plate of momos is one super experience. Prices are very very reasonable. A must go on your Darjeeling trip.

Nice little beautiful place owned by welcoming lady. They serve the best Masala tea in Darjeeling and also provide momo making class. They have a very nice collection of music, at my time they were playing Bob Marley.
Do try Tongba, a Nepalese alcoholic beverage.

A good cafe to relax after your walk through the himalayan zoological park. Perfect place to take rest and have some hot beverages. Amazing view of Darjeeling town outside the cafe.

My favorite place in Darjeeling… the kindest, sweetest place people I ever meet in my entire life… and the most important thing is the food and drinks is the best of the best I ever test…
