Listen, Choks is a gem. It has a culture of its own. I lived in Darjeeling for 8 years, and I came back after over 10 years and CHOKS WELCOMED ME HOME! Everything tastes so good and I think it's the sentiment that adds to it too. Their have not changed, thank God. Their dishes still have that classic spicy satisfaction. You have to know that you might not always get a seat, or a 5 star service but that's not what anyone is there for. You have to go to experience Choks culture as a whole. Must try: beef momo, shyapta with their ting mo, and their taipo, with slice/maaza. Trust me and you're welcome.

Amazing food. A hidden gem. If the locals line up outside the restaurant for a table then that's the true test. Fantastic Tibetan and Nepalese cuisine. Highly recommend.
