Adyar Post Office

One of the fine post office in chennai city. Visited number of times. Their service is appreciatable, they behave politely, respect time of the people who need service, they listen properly for the queries we have. Located near to Lattice Bridge, bus stop is near by only. Easy to reach here without anyone's help. Conveying my gratitude to all the staff there.

Complete Professional approach.
Waiting time is very less.
They answer to the point and direct us correctly.
Clean and tidy place.
As it is in the main road, parking facility is not available. You have park you vehicle on the road on your own risk.
They accept 2000 rupee bills - no limit, but you need to have an account with them. So only deposits and no exchange.

A smile, friendly chat, splendid professionalism when it came to work! The staff in this office were mind-blowing! They were super busy but none of them was rude or stern at us! I visited the post office for my aadhar card. Huge respect for this person in particular who did not even take his tea break as we were waiting to get our work done with kids. The general image we usually have of govt offices was shattered here. Kudos to this team! 🙂

I worked here from 2015 to 2021...
Public are really very nice here and I miss them daily when I operate the same counter at Jaipur.

I went to send a parcel by Speed Post and the lady at the parcel counter was very helpful and friendly. Proper packing of the parcel was done after inspecting the contents along with shrink wrapping but you pay a nominal amount for it and you need to take your own carton boxes.

Sending parcel to abroad as well as domestic now is very easy with india post,
facilties like quick and normal parcel sevices gives cutomer options according to their wish and priority.
Now new service also has been launched with nominal charges for asia pacific.
Charges for parcels are lowest in comparison with tracking facilities.
So come and join India post for getting new experience of reliable services.

Aadhaar updation service is provided.i went for address change and got it done in 20mins for a charge of 50rs/-. They provide the receipt as well. The process takes 10 days to be reflected.
