Poojappura Park

Despite the lively surrounding, this spot is perfect for walks, deep thoughts and aimless strolling. I find that I often visit this place to avoid stress and procrastinate my responsibilities. Also the park seems to have a mood of its own.

Large playground! Best for Cricket matches, Football, Jogging...Ground is at the premises of Saraswati Temple, Navrathri Mandapa, Closed auditorium ( have seen kid skaters are practicing regularly) and a park ( about 10-15 concrete benches, toilet facility is there). Nice place in the city to spend leisure times.

A great park, well maintained ( maintained by SBI). It's a great space for enjoying a day, infact i have seen a lot of senior citizens who relax there. As an individual I felt very happy as those grandpa's were having a good time. And there are usually a very small crowd after the office hours. The main beauty is that the park is surrounded by roads on all sides as it is situated amidst a circle ( junction)
There are different types of people seated there from office workers, senior citizens, youngsters, and even housewifes.
It's in a circular plan with organic and curved pathways. There are also small decorative ponds which would be a very functional source of drinking water for the birds in summer. Decent number of trees are provided for shade as this is a huge blessing in a hot sunny day. At night while i visited it was well decorated with light bulbs, so no problem for visual identification.
And additional benifit is that there are ample number of stores including small food stalls to enhance the mood. This park would also improve the economy of the people around bring more development and other social activities and gatherings. This would infact prevent a junction from being a socially negative space in the dark.

A best place for conducting expos n sports n stage shows. The most crowded place in Trivandrum during Onam days and Pooja days.

During festive its a place to visit must.....pooja times are best....I guess one of the biggest recreational place during celebration times

During Pooja holidays, they hold an expo here. A nice place for timepass for kids. Saraswathi temple is there.

A large open ground for playing all sort of games. A beautiful temple nearby and there will be music concerts in most of the days. Also there is an indoor area for kids to study and practice skating.

The place is packed with energy, you'll see folks from every age group playing all kinds of sports.

There are so many shops and a big ground near that park and this park is good for relaxation 😃

This is a place that holds a special place in my heart as i can trace back a lot of my childhood memories in here at this sprawling ground for sports and outdoor recreation. Sitting pretty in the middle of poojappura city, this park adorns all its beauty and charm during the Navarathri festival every year and also serves the venue for festival fair and exhibition. Place is a dream for adolescents and teenagers who wish to team up with their gangs and play a game of cricket/football. A beautiful childrens park locates itself adjacent to the ground which would attract kids and toddlers of early age. Overall a good rendezvous for evening meet ups and early morning/evening jogging.

Clean and well maintained place in thiruvanthapuram a lot of govt offices are present huge traffic jam in peak hours

Poojappura park is one of the best places to visit with children. It is a wonderful place my kids really love going there. There are many other children too, so don't worry your child will feel lonely. Also there are many instruments to play for children. There are also trees which provide shade and a place to sit and relax. It is a wonderful place overall.
