Thampanoor Central Jumua Masjid

Best place for travellers! This masjid follows Shafi school of thought (Shafi madhab) altho i thought it was a Ahle hadees masjid but i was wrong cuz they also do raful-e-daen but the difference is they recite dua-e- qunoot in Fajr salah. Nonetheless Shafi school of thought is a well respected school of thought and is very similar to salafi madhab.There is also a seperate floor for women section which is great. Also there is Musafirkhana with very cheaper rates like u can get a bed in hall just for rs150 and a whole room with attached bathroom with rs350. Its well maintained and toilets are cleaned regularly.

Thampanoor Juma Masjid located near the KSRTC thampanoor. A busy mosque near to Railway station and bus stand. Their service during Ramadan days was commendable.

I stayed here once when i need to go to UAE consulate . as i am tamil nadu i did not know malayalam language that much. They helped me well.. ipo nannaayitu samsaarikaam... Alhamthulillah

Dormitory facility is available .150 rupees per bed.Toilet and bathroom is neat.separate locker facility available for Dormitory.If you want Dormitory or room kindly reach the mosque before 11 p.m.. Since it closes at 11 p.m.

The Juma Masjid is good. Close (Walkable distance) from Tiruvanntapuram Central Railway Station. 5 stars for this.

Masjid, both the interior and the outer premises are maintained with at most cleanliness. Apart from offering the 5 times prayer, we can sit, take rest and relax during the daytime.

The dormitory (Musafirkhana) is not good as tourist. But prices are cheaper as lodge or hotel Not properly maintained well. If possible, better not to use this service.

Located near to KSRTC bus-stand. So highly accessible.The mosque is spacious and have facilities like toilet and rooms. The cost of stay here is very cheap. Dormitories are available on daily basis for gents. not sure about ladies. The mosque is open 24x7.

This Masjid is well maintained and very clean. Most importantly it is just near the thampanoor KSRTC bus stand making it very accessible, which is most convenient for travellers. This Masjid can hold a lot of people and also this Masjid does also host Jumaa prayers. Another plus point for travellers is that they get to stay at the dormitories offered by Masjid at a very low cost.

The masjid was built by Trivandrum Muslim Association in the late 70s. It's in a prime location just behind the KSRTC Depot in Thampanoor which is the travel hub of Trivandrum City.

In Early 90's the masjid was extended with a Musafir Khana or Traveller's inn (for men only) keeping mind of the day travellers with a very affordable rates. There are also dormetory for a few days stay.

A Majid at the main junction located very next to bus stand and railway station where 1000s of travellers crosses everyday and they provide space to take rest and affordable cheap rooms for accomdation together with good space for namaz.

Nearest mosque to the Trivandrum central railway station and KSRTC bus terminal. Also had bathroom and dormitory facility. Parking facility is also provided.

Very well maintained and Masha Allah Big masjid. Just opposite to station and situated in lane between bus depot and Aristo junction lane. The lane to masjid is marked with signage and it also has musafir khana.
