The Eastern Bakery

It's one of the oldest bakeries with Authentic plum cake and mixture. Their staff are customer friendly. Parking is a small issue at times . But other than that all items in there bakery are just amazing.

I first visited the Eastern Bakery in 1980 with my grandma and aunty during a summer vacation from the UK. My favourite item was the fruit bread. Last week, I visited India and made a visit (as I always do when I visit India) and had the fruit bread and chicken cutlets. They tasted just as they did way back in 1980 -delicious and so well made. The interior decor is as it was way back in the day. That's what I like about the Easten Bakery - they have stayed true to themselves and on what works well, not focussed on modernisation. In summary, my favourite bakery in India!

This has been around for over 60 years !! The 3rd generation runs this place.

Cream puff, jam roll, oh their tea rusk is divine, cutlets and bread, these are my staple food from my childhood days.

Simply one of the best bakeries in Trivandrum. Fresh stuff made daily. Have to go early for evening snacks like puffs.

This is a bakery with a modern concept of food items. I mean about the old tiffin items prevalent in villages are available in this bakery and those items we in our old days had enjoyed at our own homes prepared by the old lady members of the family. I was stunned by their collection at my first visit. Love it.

A big bakery with lots of pastries and sweets. It probably has any pastry that one would need. However some items are in big demand and may run out quickly. So it is better to go earlier in the day. The items are of good quality and prices are affordable. So if you have got a sweet tooth and close to the area, you can rely on this place.

This is one of the oldest bakeries in Thiruvananthapuram. Cakes are very popular here. There are always a lot of different Quick Bytes collections. We regularly order cakes for parties in our office. They have never disappointed us. Birthday cakes have also been bought many times from here. Very good tasty Butter Cakes. They will prepare the cakes needed by pre-ordering.
