Stunning view - Superb Food
You can eat here as a guest of the hotel or not. We had two breakfasts (omelettes, chips and toast) and two excellent evening meals. The Desert Thalis were truly delicious and such value for money at R250. On one evening I also had potatoes, cheese and egg which was so good, plus a truly great rice pudding.
Lucky was cooking for us and he was really helpful. Service was always friendly.
Plus the view is truly stunning. There are many rooftop cafes but this one has a truly excellent view - the perfect spot for sunrise and sunset.

Really nice place. I came here 2 times for the vegetable omlette but also tried different other foods and teas. Good food, good prices, a beautiful and calm ambience, amazing view. Nice staff. I'd come back and next time even book a room there.

Most friendly staff, Raju is very gentle and attentive, the view is awesome and the food is fresh and also good. Even if you are not guest in Hotel Desert, its worth a visit. Recommended!

What can I say, I love this place. Raju, a kind-hearted person, prepares very tasty food, delicious chai, and a pleasant atmosphere. Pretty sure the best restaurant in Jaisalmer, respectively in the fort. I definitely recommend this place!

Best food, lot to choose from, best prices in fort and great view. Chef here is really good and kind. I stayed 7 days in hostel below and ate breakfast and dinners here at Desert cafe, tried many different dishes, noodles, tacos, thalis and everything tasted excellent.

This Restaurant/Café was the best decision! The Chef Raju cooks really good indian food (other choices available too), the views to the city are beautiful since it’s located in one of the highest points in the Fort! Highly recommended! Laky from the hostel is a beautiful soul too :-)
