Ngadak Thupten Shedup Dhargey Choeling, Monastery

The PROMISED LAND/PLACE ....a Promise to the GUMPHA that I will visit again... talking about Ngadak Thupten Shedup Dhargey Choeling Gumpha...one of the oldest Gumpha of South Sikkim, a little bit distant from main Namchi Town. This old Gumpha is very serene, calm and peaceful...an ideal place to correlate with Nature and Buddhism. The child monks to and fro, the majestic sound of bells and drums and the thanka works on the wall...all will surely transport you to another World. The old ghumpha with its dilapidated structure is well maintained and preserved...the new Ghumpha is standing tall....Surely Ngadak (Promise ), I will visit you again... it's my promise 🙏🙏.

There are hundreds of monasteries in sikkim and it is easy to drive past the turning to this one and go on to Samdruptse. But if have some extra time, it is highly worthwhile to visit this one. Such a tranquil atmosphere, no crowd whatsoever. Beautiful indeed.

Unbelievably tranquil. Aura of spiritualsm lingers in the monastery. The architecture and the art are incredible.

It's a very peaceful place. The new monastery is a beautiful structure and the old monastery is preserved well. There's a big lawn above the monastery with an traditional Bhutia house or Chhe-khim behind the new structure. There's also a Shedra or monastic school in the campus.

It's one of the lesser known monasteries so you will rarely find a crowd. When we went some teen monks we're studying inside meaning chanting their chants. It was so peaceful just to sit there and listen to them.

One can feel inner peace by visiting this Monastery. One of the oldest Monastery in Sikkim.

It's so beautiful place , here buddhist MONASTERY is located...and also old MONASTERY is there called Ngadak MONASTERY....so peaceful... close to environment.

Lovely Monastery with architectural marvel! When we went, there were not many visitors so we had opportunity of peacefully sit and enjoy the blissful atmosphere. Could spend some time meditating!
