Kurangani Hills Trekking

Simplest trek with breathtaking views, beware of leaches. We went here on December 31st luckily we got some clear sky in the morning.the views are dependent on the weather. You have to be lucky enough to get the view, weather has to be ideal. In my opinion we have to visit the place severy times to get a good view.

This place offers the best trekking through tea plantations. Can be reached by jeeps as well. Best views on the top. I visited to view the neelakurinji, the blue flowers covering the whole mountains. Heaven on earth. You have camping on top. Worth the whole day outing, enjoying the nature's true self. The view from top is mesmerizing. We get to visit a tea factory in the middle where the whole process of tea making can be seen. One great place to visits. Nice place to trek and enjoy the beauty.

Nice place to enjoy the holidays with friends...also please avoid put the empty bottles in that forest,it will make injury to walking people's. We need to keep clean☝
I giving you full assurance for the enjoyment...please couples and family don't go upwards, enjoy with down hills spot. Bcz root is very tough to walk and that upside is not suitable for family and couple's.

Very nice, you should reach the base camp by 5 am. Till basecamp can you can take your own vehicle but from the base camp you need to take the official trucking vehicle which will cost you 2000 rupees

Nice place. Need some effort to reach the view point. But it was awesome. Sometime there will be smoke (Koda) in that time we can't see anything. But if we wait for some time may be it's clear and we can get a clear sky.

Just one word to describe this "amazing". It's literally a heaven for nature enthusiasts and trekkers. Whole trek is full of lush greenery and scenic beauty. I visited this at the monsoon end and the experience is worth remembering for. Just one suggestion if you visit this place in monsoon season that leeches will all around the place if it's raining, so be prepared for that, I carried dettol, cotton and bandaid which was enough for me.

NICE TO SEE THE CHILLING PLACE

This is a place 1km before kurangani. Its so thrilled that we stayed at the night. Fully dark with the birds noice with little drizzling rain and the smell of forest that u can feel on windy air. Once in a Life time experience.

It was located in my native place theni district.. KURANGANI Hills Trekking has more visual Treat for every visiting person. it has covered fully with green Tree's and Hills. In this place many movies shooted. Tamil cinema's one of the Hit Movie Kumki Was shooted here.. We have visited this shooting spot also... It was a very beautiful location and chil climate 😍 we really enjoyed it. We have went by Bike and it was good for bike riding in chil climate 😍 Kurangani Top station is most beautiful location. Must visit and enjoy with your friends and family members.. Good location for cheap and best Travel.

It was an amazing experience. View from the top is breathtaking. Sunrise view with cloudbed under you is mesmerising.

It is an amazing hike between tea plantations and when you reach the top of ths hills, it is an amazing view. This hike is one of a kind and I would highly recommend doing it.

This is Top Station which is surrounded with Tea Gardens. You can track in this garden and enjoy. The place has no entry fees. The place is worth visit and spend time in tea garden.

Went to Top station munnar trek, had to walk uphill for 13km, that's pretty tiring, although got some amazing view getting down.

The trek trail which leads to Kolukkumalai Tea Estate, also has sunrise point. You can do the trek on your own as it has a safe trail.

Pple who like to camp and stay in tent and go trekking must visit this place. Early morning is the best time to visit the place.

Kurangani is a hill station atop the Western Ghats accessed from Bodinayakkanur in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It has estates that grow coconut, mangoes, all spices, and coffee. A mountain stream passes between Kurangani mountains in the east and Kolukkumalai in the west. The hills are characterized by frequently-changing weather, low-hanging clouds, chilly atmosphere and strong winds, and are home to a wide range of flora and fauna including Indian gaurs, barking deer, langurs, and wild cats, and possibly leopards and tigers.

Kunagani has more than 6 small streams. All join together into the Kottakudi River, where they then flow into Vaigai Dam.

The Kurangani Hills near Bodinayakanur in Theni district are suitable for trekking and nature walks, including the 12 km walk from Kurangani village to Top Station through the central village. Those who visit Munnar in Kerala can also enter the trekking route by walking down the dense woods and plain grasslands. It takes four to five hours to complete the trek from Kurangani village, the foothills of the Hills, to reach Top station, while two-and-a-half hours is enough for the return trip. Hikes begin 35 km from Munnar and reach Top Station, on the border of Theni district.

The nearby Munnar Hills and Kolukkumalai Hills are the world's highest tea plantation at an altitude close to 8,000 feet (2,400 m).

The films Alagar Samiyin Kuthurai, Myna and Kumki were shot there. The best months to explore the Hills are from August to December.

Samabalaru falls is the source of Kottakudi river which serves the drinking water needs of Bodinayakanur.

The central village has a population of 200 people and 50 houses. Lodging is available in Top Station, Bodinayakanur and Munnar. along with two cottages in the central village.

This place is so beautiful.. I was here during off season and yet had great time..

Believe me friends.. This is what called as trekking... the night in the we stayed in the tent and the morning we started for the trek and it was just heaven.. the trek was for 5 hours and when we reached the destination it was all cloud and heavenish.. do visit once
