This school is like a family, it's very welcoming to new students and has a peaceful surrounding. We are taught discipline and we are known to be the "josephites". The school is very strict, and inside the campus we are only allowed to speak english. The teachers and sisters are very friendly, sjc is like my second home as it gave me so much to remember. St. Josephs Convent is an english medium school just for girls where one can perfectly educate her daughter. It was established in the year 1926 and from that time till now it's the best school in kalimpong.I'm really proud that my daughter is a student of that school. I really appreciate the duty, devotion and discipline given to them by their teachers.

Established by the Cluny sisters in 1926 St. Joseph's Covent is a premier institution for girls' education in the hills. It is located at a comfortable distance of about 2 Kms from Kalimpong town,far enough to avoid the hustle and bustle of the town but also very easily accessible to the town as it is located near the highway. Classes available from UKG- 12th standard but not everyone is lucky enough to study here and call herself a Josephite as the seats for admission is very limited . With a peaceful environment and highly qualified teaching staff the school provides all-round development to young girls and trains them to become independent women in the future.
