Food is good. Clean & tidy place with good north & south indian food options. Very courteous staff & quick service. We ordered mysore dosa, filter coffee, vegetable uttapam & lemon soda. Everything tasted good. Overall a good combination for happy customers.

Good food costs you more in Rishikesh. Nevertheless, to meet that quality needs real skill. We had lacha paratha, roti and veg kofta, and a lime soda for lunch. All the dishes were better than each other. And all were served in real quick time. Courtesy of the service staff was really commendable. Very good experience.

A good South Indian restaurant near tapovan. Also serves some North Indian dishes in the main course. Decent sitting space and food taste is really good. Quick service. I found it a bit expensive.

Good south indian food in rishikesh. Try masala dosa and idli. Open till 11pm. Service was so good. Location is in main tapovan.

Its enclosed & clean away from dust. Hygiene 5 star. Great taste of local food & quiet ambience. Great family & group place to relax & enjoy the main street view. I love the lassi & its not diluted like other place. Little pricey compared to street food price.

We had breakfast fast at Uttar Dakshin by Madras café a pure vegetarian restaurant, on our way to Kedar. Nice taste. We had dosa idli and vada. Also they served tasty parantha and tea. Ambience was nice and it was economic. It was good and we liked our breakfast and i recommend Uttar Dakshin for breakfast for you.

We had breakfast here, Ginger tea, Butter toast and Masala Dosa. The place is a venture by the Madras cafe and lives up to the expectations. The quality of the food was great and amazing hospitality.

I ordered dosa from this restaurant... And i must say dosa is very crispy and tasty .... But yeah sambhar is like ghar ki daal soo overall gud experience but I really didn't like the sambhar

Fantastic place for a South Indian meal. I tried two different dishes and visited twice for lunch and dinner. Super hospitable staff and generous place owner. It’s packed on weekends so visit a bit before closing hours.

Very good and fast service, tasty food. Got the food customised according to our requirements. Fully vegetarian, multicuisine. Recommended if you are visiting Rishikesh or Tapovan.

Best restaurant in Tapovan, Rishikesh. Quality food, very humble staff and good ambience. Loved the service and hospitality of the management. And the only place to have authentic sourced Madrasi filter coffee.

Very delicious food! Highly recommend the South Indian food. I had the veg uttapam. This place is easy for gluten free options as well. Friendly staff. One issue was that we couldn’t use our international (visa) card to pay, needed to use cash.

Splendid food, splendid service. In a place as packed with options of varying quality, Uttar Dakshin is an excellent choice on the Ramjhula road with limited parking in front.

Servers are polite, helpful and accommodating, as well as well behaved and cheerful. Food is also prepared within a reasonable period, even with multiple dishes ordered.

Our order was a cheese dosa, honey chili potato, rotis, a salad, dahi vada and paneer tikka masala. Every dish was made very well by any standards, let alone a medium sized joint in rishikesh. Their cold coffees and fresh lime sodas also pair excellently with the food, and the thalis appear to be ordered frequently, though I cannot attest to that dish since we never ordered it. In any case, portions were worth the cost and cooked very well.

A spilt drink was replaced without fuss, and many microadjustments were made to the order without any additional hassle. UPI payment options are also available. All in all, an excellent pit stop and well worth the money.

One of the most favourite place in Rishikesh! I would highly recommend to ones who loves South Indian food ! They have authentic taste ,it's really delicious! Also the ones who likes North Indian food , they have plenty options of North Indian food also !

Tried idlies and vadas, liked them both, they have good sambar too that took me back to the Bangalore days..Visit to enjoy the south indian and North Indian delicacies when you are in Rishikesh..Nice service and hygienic place ..I had a chance to use their kitchen as I wanted to make filter coffee on my own, the owner was kind enough to let me in to the kitchen and gave me a chance to make filter coffee, check the pictures out..

During our recent 4-day trip to Rishikesh, we visited this pure vegetarian restaurant on the recommendation of a local. We were very impressed with the food quality, service, and taste, and all members of our traditional Gujarati vegetarian family returned for dinner on subsequent nights.

We had the opportunity to speak with the owner of the restaurant, Mr. Govindbhai Agrawal, who is a very down-to-earth person and eager to receive honest feedback. We would highly recommend this restaurant to couples and families who appreciate good quality, reliable, and tasty food.

All the dishes are delicious, though it's in the mid price range but it is worth it. They have a very friendly staff and serve with utmost care.
