The Kairali, Sree and Nila complex — an iconic cinema complex owned by the Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC)

All three screens at the complex have been equipped with RGB 4K laser projectors and a triple beam 3D unit based on SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers) parameters to offer prime visual experience. The 32-channel Dolby Atmos ensures the highest quality audio output.

A ramp and wheelchair friendly facilities make the theatre accessible to the differently-abled. The complex also features a reading room, elevator, dormitory, VIP room and VIP launch. KSFDC established Kairali and Sree theatres in the capital in 1988. In 2010, the cinemas were equipped with digital projection facilities. The third theatre, Nila, was added in 2012.

Can’t believe, it’s a Kerala state film development corporation’s run multiplex.
The entrance and exteriors are quite pleasing. It’s a three screen multiplex Kairali, Nila and Sree.
Didn’t find time to watch a movie in this famous movie house.
Centrally located.

Good screen, nice seats. The air conditioning and sound system are also good. Very good viewing experience. Ticket charges are very less compared to pvt theatres. A cafeteria is also present. Area to be improved-toilet, neatness inside theatre.

Better theatre in the trivandrum city .This theatre has three screens: nila , kairali .I have visited all of them and they are wonderful.A small unease is that the price for the snacks in the theatre is little bit high ,if the management does a reliable control on it then its demand will be at peak level.

It's a govt run three screen theatre complex in the heart of Trivandrum city.. close to Thampanoor Railway Station and Bus stand.. walkable distance..
Kairali is the biggest of Kairali - Sree - Nila trio..

All the theatres have 4K screens with mind blowing Cinionic laser projections.. complemented with Dolby Atmos immersive sound experience..

We watched Ponnian Selvan in Kairali recently.. though our first movie here was Malayankunju.. Trust me we had the best of theatre experience so far.. both visuals and sound elevations are of great quality that you will be so glued to the movie and won't be distracted by any sound vibrations or picture clarity/ colour issues..
The theatre hall is dark enough and you won't have any external light disturbance coming inside.. the seats too are of decent quality.. comfortable and placed well..

The movie watching experience inside the theatre hall is better here than that of Aries Plex.. which is another good theatre complex in the city..
Make sure you grab a seat somewhere in the centre of the rear half of the theatre hall or towards the centre for better viewing and listening xperience..

However the car parking and staff behaviour experience wasn't great..
You have to park the car in the open and there isn't enough free space..
They need to recruit staffs who are people friendly or the management need to train the existing staff..
Arrogance is struck in their body language.. They need to be kind to the visitors.. Aries Plex scores better in their staff behaviour..

The canteen is good.. but don't try a hot coffee or tea here.. as you have to throw it midway before entering again.. they will start the movie back asap before finish of interval..

The urinals and toilets are generally clean.. but stinks like elsewhere.. it's high time public facilities in Kerala need to address this issue..

Urine has presence of Ammonia that causes the foul smell..
Use strong neutralizing agents and fragrances, a very good fresh air inlet and an efficient exhaust system, and dedicated attendants to ensure fresh and clean ambience inside the loo..

The tourism department should look into this issue..
Learn it from Lulu mall.. they have proper system implemented and its a success..

A really nice theatre with 3 screens Kairali, Nila and Sree. Fantastic cinematic experience with 4k display and Dolby Atmos audio system. Seating experience was fine. Ample parking space available to accommodate four wheelers and two wheelers. Ticket fare is also less compared to other theatres.

Vfm, parking is available in plenty. Sound is amazing. For first time goers waiting on the road before the movie can be daunting as there is no one to assist. Just be patient and wait in line.

Government-run theatre complex right at the heart of the city, at a walking distance from the central bus station and the railway station. There are 3 screens - Kairali being the largest in terms of capacity, Sree and Nila being smaller screens. All the screens have been renovated recently and are now equipped with 4K laser projection and Dolby Atmos. Both the audio and the projection are top-notch. Could do with better seats though - a bit more cushioning and more reclinable maybe. Ticket rates currently are at ₹125 if you purchase them at the box office. A few rows of seats have been blocked for online booking but are available for advance reservation at the counter at the rate of ₹137 per ticket. They accept cards, but the POS machine may not be working always, so safer to carry cash. There’s sufficient parking space also.

After the renewal, this is now one of the best theatre complexes in the heart of Trivandrum. Very neat and clean premises; friendly staff; good cafeteria. Now coming to the theatre experience, very good picture quality because of the 'rgb' laser 4K projection and the Dolby Atmos sound quality was superb. The ticket price is the lowest compared to other theatres in town.

Kairali is the biggest and best among other two. Only problem is with the seats in Sree, which isn't comfortable for an average adult.

One of the best theatres in the city. It was my first visit to watch "Adv. Mukundan unni associates " at 9 pm show. Theatre was crowded and hardly got a slot for parking. Security person was so cooperative and helped out to park at a convenient space. Affordable pricing and very well maintained and cleaned.
Only drawback i experienced was the washroom which is tiny and crowded during interval. Easily accessible from all main roads and best place to enjoy the movie with friends or family.

Well maintained theatre. The seats are comfy and the video and audio quality is also top notch. I often select the Kairali screen.

Good theatre, budget friendly because they only charge as per government regulations, 4k dolby atmos screens, and two of them are the best ones in the city. Even if you are at the third row of kairali or sree you'll able to enjoy the movie perfectly. i prefer any seats from third row to the back at centre. The staffs are polite and simple. Wheelchair accessible, good toilet facilities and the food items from the cafe are also affordable and reasonable compared to other theaters in the city

Kairalai Theatre Complex is A well Maintained Theater Complex, owned By Kerala State Film Development corporation which is an autonomous body under Kerala State Government. It have three movie Halls. Kairali , Sree And Nila. Good quality sound system and very nice seating. If you like to watch a movie in Trivandrum The No1 Choice is Kairali Theatre
One of the best theatre complex in trivandrum city with ample parking. Located at Thampanoor opposite to central railway station. Have 3 screens Kairali , Sree and Nila (Balcony of old Kairali theater). Kairail is the largest and Nila is the smallest. Seating and comfortability based Sree is the best among these three. Before every movie national anthem will be played and we need to stand accordingly. Sound quality is too good as well as display in QUBE technology. prestigious theater complex of KSFDC in Trivandrum and best after Ariesplex. Online booking is available in Chitranjali website
