Kokoon Hotel Banyuwangi

Had a great time staying here. The new building with minimalist concepts brings the modern ambiance. Clean and comfy rooms supported with nice services, resulting in the best hotel in town.

I stayed at Kakoom Hotel from Jan 26 to 28, 2024, and I can’t express how great my experience was. I’m giving it a solid 5 out of 5 and highly recommend it!

The staff here is super friendly and welcoming, making the hospitality outstanding. The hotel is pretty new, and you can tell they used top-notch materials for the building, making it comfortable and luxurious.

The rooms are spotlessly clean, and I really appreciated that. The lobby is a nice spot to relax and catch some fresh air from Banyuwangi.

Oh, and the top floor ambiance is amazing – it’s got a stunning view that adds a special touch to your stay.

In a nutshell, Kakoom Hotel is fantastic. If you’re looking for a great stay in Banyuwangi, this is the place!

We had an amazing stay here. Luxurious, well luminated and clean rooms, coming with an amazing view. The hotel lies a bit out of the centre (about 5 kms), i would say that is the only negative aspect. There is not much around the hotel to do, so as a tourist you should either go to the centre or arrange a tour the day before. There are few small shops around, where you can buy small snacks, water etc. Rooms are equipped with TV, hair dryer, a case, a kettle and mugs, tea and coffee, a luxurious shower and A/C. There was no balcony in the room we stayed. Rooms are cleaned daily, and we had no major issue with noise from the surrounding rooms. The breakfast offers several types of food, majorly Indonesian options, a salad and noodle/egg bar, and there is a good bakery section, which i loved. Ginger/Jasmin tea and coffee, several juice types are offered as well. The swimming pool is usually calm, and a bit cold (open hours: 6 am-21 pm) . A spa is available. We dined on Ijen restaurant and rooftop bar, although quite overpriced, the meals were very elegant and tasty. Restaurants offer both Indonesian and western food. Room service is also available. Overall, loved my stay in Kokoon Hotel, totally recommended!

Just had 2 nights here and used it as a base to visit Mt Ijen. Loved it ❤!! Rooms are comfortable and our view was amazing. Breakfast was an extensive buffet, and staff super helpful. We both had 90 min massages after some long treks which was great. They operated until 11 pm which really suited us. We had cocktails & snacks in the rooftop lounge one evening. Our lunch before departing was just us in the restaurant. International visitors will already be aware that wine is expensive here but we enjoyed what we had with lunch. If any guests are looking to get their nails done I would highly recommend a lady 14 mins walk away at Byek Henna & Nail Artist ❤

One of our best hotel finds! Beautiful with a traditional touch, clean, lovely staff, well furnished, good service. Best price via Agoda 😉 Super comfortable and would love to stay here again.

Highly recommend. Staff are exceptional, especially the female staff. The room service food was the best Indonesian food we've had all across 5 islands we visited. Room was clean, could do some light maintenance, but nothing was dirty. We loved all the amenities and the any time we needed anything staff was quick and very helpful. If your in the neighborhood to visit Ijen we highly recommend staying at this location. You'll be taken care of so professionally. We are planning to come back to the area and booking again. If only all the (8) hotels we stayed at on different islands of Indonesia were like this. It would've made our time here much more pleasant. Thank you Kokoon staff, you guys are awesome!

Strategic location, the rooms are good, there are friends who got rooms with mountain views and are beautiful.

Amazing hotel! Loved our stay here! The room was really comfortable and super clean. Breakfast is great- lots of variety of Indonesian and Western food and it all tasted very good! The facilities - gym and pool - are very nice as well. Highly recommend staying here if visiting Mount Ijen. The price is very affordable for everything you get at such good quality.

The breakfast was amazing! They have laksa noodle, tom yum soup noodle, indonesian style porridge, pasta and others. It is like a restaurant food.

Minus: because it is close to the airport, it is far from center of Banyuwangi

Superb-class hotel in Banyuwangi. Spent one night with family in January 2023 and definitely would love to come back. Thanks to their warm-hearted reception staff that asked and gave us connecting room at 6th floor directly (forgot his name, my bad). Everything went perfect and beyond our expectation. Helpful security, smiley receptionists, well-trained staffs, best chefs, extraordinary garden crews, and top-notch interior design!

They serve incredible breakfast selection, taste like no others! Mie Aceh was my favorite dish, salad and its condiments were great tho.

Love their lemongrass scent on the elevator (and the cultural illustration image). It's spotlessly clean; from the basement to the rooftop bar.

It's a rather new Hotel and well maintained one despite covid-19.

Service was friendly and steadfast.
Breakfast is decent, better than most 3/4🌟

Room was clean and comfortable . However, maybe sound Proofing may be improved for the room with the main road view.

Facilities, okay and complete, however the pool was too cold, it's uncomfortable to swim in, I quickly dried myself only after several laps.

This property will surely gain some excellent reputation over the next few years. Even the baseline deluxe room is surprisingly very spacious, built with nice materials. Really loved the wellness (gym, swimming pool) floor that somehow feels straight out of a 5-star hotel (gives you that tranquil vibe). One could only wish that the building would blend a little more with the river next to it and make use of the nice leafy atmosphere on that side.
