Borobudur Private Tour by Sesawi Tour Yogyakarta

The car was very comfortable, clean and spacious. It was also for a reasonable price with a driver Jacky. Jacky is an amazing driver as I wanted to change the itinerary on the day itself. It was "no problem" with a smile. Borobudur, and Mendut were my favorite temples. Jacky takes good photos too :)

Argus, the driver was patient, punctual and made sure all my needs were met, including picking up some panadol for my headache.

Wished my Behasa Indonesia was better so I could get to converse with him more. Loved how he introduced and picked up some local snacks and drinks along the long journeys between the sites.

Three words: Take. This. Tour. I was initially skeptical because the price was so reasonable and s a solo traveler, I wanted to be safe. But after reading another glowing review of Indra’s work, I was convinced and I hope this review convinced the next potential guest too. After initial booking, Indra was very responsive in helping me design my private tour. He took into consideration everything I wanted to see and do, and was very good about communicating prices, times and options (food, tours, etc.) with me. When he picked me up in the morning of our tour, he was EARLY and his car was clean and the air conditioner worked great. Indra was very friendly and open to talking about all kinds of things. He is very knowledgeable about Yogyakarta region, informative at the temples and answered all of my questions. He was very courteous and polite, but also open, interesting and fun! He is also flexible with the schedule during the tour. For example, I wanted to get coffee mid-morning between temples and he made it happen. I also wanted to get local food for lunch and he made that happen too — and it was delicious! When we got done a little early with the planned itinerary, Indra graciously take me to a couple of extra places so we would spend as close to the 12 hours listed for the tour as possible. Indra goes above and beyond in service and courtesy. You cannot go wrong with booking him for a tour of Yogyakarta and the region.

We had a perfect day with our guide Ari. We did the temple tour. Ari speaks very good English and we were able to adjust our tour to our needs at any time. If you only have short time in yogya I would recommend to do both temples in one day.

The best operator to make a tour

Indra had been a really friendly host! He is punctual, and very knowledgeable. Since it was a personalised tour, we suggested a few places and he planned a itinerary for us with extra places! And because of the recent drought, he was afraid the waterfall wouldn’t look as beautiful as photos we’d seen online, so he suggested another place for us before the trip even happened.

During the trip, he was good in explaining and we had conversations to ensure the car ride wasn’t just another car ride. With him, it was very safe and we can even trust him with our belongings and also nap on the car ride while en-route to the next destination. Thank you Indra!

It was amazing experience. This was my first time to visit Yogjakarta and I joined Indra's 1day tour. We met early morning for tour and visited 2temples(borobudur, prambanan), Merapi jeep tour. Quite a great experience. Our guide Christine was wonderful in explaining the local area and culture as well as helping us figure out different places to explore in Yogya. The lunch was delicious and she really worked to accommodate my veganism. Creating the masks was fun and Christine was a great instructor explaining the history of batik, the different symbols and in helping us figure out the tools and correct our mistakes

We had the best time at our batik mask making class with Sesawi tours! Our hosts were kind, knowledgeable and accommodating, everything you want in a tour! We learned so much and had a fabulous time making our batik masks! The lunch afterwards was also delicious and overlooked a rice patty.

Sesawi tours can accommodate any tour in the local Yogykarta area at a far price as well as extended multi day tours around Java and East Java. I only wish I would have met them sooner and I would have booked all of our Java and East Java experiences through them! I can only recommend 100%!

Indra was a very friendly and accommodating tour guide - he gave us advice on our route but let us pick the pace and the destinations by ourselves. He felt like an old friend, sharing about his experiences that led him here and his passion for Jojga. He was very knowledgeable about Jojga and the surrounding areas, and our favourite part of the trip was a secret lunch spot he took us to in the mountains that overlooked a beautiful rice paddy field - it was a very personalised and thoughtful tour, and we would highly recommend spending a day with Indra.

Going on this tour with Indra was instantly comparable to being shown round by your friend. He told great stories, went out of his way to show us the temples despite them being locked down for the first time today due to the virus and had a wealth of knowledge for the areas we travelled too. Today enabled us to understand more about Javanese culture, including stopping for local food, thank you so much!

We had such a great time making our own masks. They made it easy and we learned a lot. I would highly recommend taking this experience when in Yogyakarta. The lunch was great and Christine and her husband were wonderful hosts.

I can't speak English and Indonesian, but I had the courage to make a reservation.
She explained it to me by writing a translator for me who couldn't speak.
There was no inconvenience in learning.
