Gunung Ireng

Good place to watch sun rise, also lot's of photo spots. Better to come early in the morning

It is one of proper scenery to get silent mind, just sit, and observe the sorround, nothing can harm you. You are just required to pay IDR3.000 for a motorbike parking. You are also could learn its history which is demonstrated in a board in parking area. This well-managed nature tourism has plenty gazebos for just couch potato. And of course (no-lamps)toilets! And food stalls.

My great experience during the morning time. It's only the peak of the hill. But we could see the glorious scenic landscape when the sun comes out from it's horizon in the Faraway east. To reach out this place, I have to riding away more than an hour by motorcycle from the downtown of Jogjakarta. It has a parking area for motorbike & car as well. Entering this area will be charged. Only IDR 5K per person, fairly enough though. This place is managed under local grups of community as part of the official village authority. There are good stalls, parking areas & toilets as well. Nice!

Not so far from Yogyakarta, just around an hour ride. Road access is already good, spacious parking spot for cars and motorcycles, I'm pretty sure small buses also fits. Just need few minutes walk in paved road to reach the peak. Very beautiful sunrise view. They have some gazebos to take a seat and enjoying the view. Everything is clean and tidy. The entrance ticket is very affordable just IDR 3.000 per person.

If you go when the sky is clear you can see the milky way and it's so wonderful! The distance from parking area and milky way is 150 meter I suppose. The ticket cost only 6,000 rupiahs.

Wonderful place for hunting sunrise and sunset. The view is great and fresh

Very underrated place for sunrise. A great view, super fresh early morning air. And the fee to enter also as cheap as rp5k equal to Malaysia ringgit 1. 50++. Got few spot to take picture. They have a small hut, boat replica and the bench. Some info for those who curious about the mount ireng, the rock in this area are all black as the word ireng itself bring the meaning of black. It is a Srumbung Black Mount if it happen to be translated.
