Hunguest Hotel Palota

The fairytale hotel that should definitely be on your travel list when visiting Miskolc or North-Eastern Hungary.

We had two meals, breakfast and dinner during our 3 day stay inclusive of the hotel charges. Menus change everyday and food quality was good. The surroundings were beautiful with activities you can do like tracking, swimming in the nearby cave spring.

Well, it's not much what I can say.
Location is amazing, so nice view doesn't matter where you look.
The building itself, not a new one, but the mood and atmosphere it's unique.
Reception, well trained personnel, friendly, funny, helpful and polite.
Rooms are big, with big windows and lots of natural light. Bed was confortabile and big shower and all that you want to have in a hotel room. The main door wasn't that good sound proof, otherwise all good.
Breakfast and dinner, so good, tasty food, well cooked. Delicious.
Elevator, just one. Big, but one. Sometimes we had to wait a lot until it arrived at our floor.
I really did like it and me and my family had a good time there.
I do recommend this place to you all.

The hotel reminds you of another era,the decoration and design stumbles you while having breakfast or one of the cocktails in the lobby bar for popular price or while reading a book in the saloon.
If you are lucky as I was to get there during winter when there is snow,be ready to experience a novel worthy ambience as it came out of an Agatha Christie's book.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location.
Nicely renovated rooms. The buffet style dinner wasn’t the best and on their website the whole lunch/dinner situation isn’t clear …
Way too many people in the spa area in this times .. but no limitations how many people can be in a closed humid and steamy environment…
Other than that the room was very clean staff was helpful breakfast was pretty decent.
Looking forward to visit the place again.

We spent a great afternoon in Lillafured, visited the lake and the waterfall. We had a coffe at Palota Hotel, the atmoshere was very pleasant and service excellent.

The hotel is an to days gone by. Ornate, detailed and immaculate. The bar area is open to anyone and the seating area is comfortable and warm. The hotel's history is colorful and worth reading about on the little placards around the terraced gardens outside. Very much with the trip.

The receptionist provided a great mini-suite with fantastic view to the manicured french garden. The wellness part has ton of saunas, large jacuzzi pool and relaxing benches. Restaurant all-inclusive menu has many choices. Overall experience was great...reasonable cost and unparalleled service...I would highly recommend it...

This is a magical place. Baths are a little small according to size but very well organized. 5 stars for cleanliness. In the room we had a broken sofa. Janitor fixed it but it broke after 1st sit. Location of thos place could not be better. Food os delicious. Service is very good. Prices are very ballanced with the quality. Historical building with a tower. Just like a fairy tale.

I believe that this is the very best place to stay at in the region! All the pics you can find on Internet say it all! Can't say enough good about this place. Room is very clean, with great views and very comfortable. Continental breakfast is very various, fresh and delicious and they even had live guitarist during. The surrounding is stunning and quite full of nature and clean air. Nearby lake gives opportunity to ride on boat and there is a nearby station to pick a forest train. Must go! Highly recommend!

It is a must to see sight. We had a great experience. You can have your fun rowing on the lake and see the Castle from there. Walking near the hotel in the wooded area and experiencing the waterfall gives you an enjoyment and relaxation. Come and see it!

Fabulous stay in a beautiful location. Food was great. Wellness was great, even better late evening, almost empty. Staff were super friendly and very happy to switch to English. Will be returning for sure to see it when the gardens are at their best!

Lovely old fashioned hotel in a unique location. Staff was kind and professional. The spa is ok but I recommend a room with the jacuzzi. Restaurant was also ok with a nice selection of wines. The garden is just beautiful and well kept.

Very impressive hotel, with even more impressive grounds to wander. The buffet style breakfasts and dinners are next level. Loved staying here!

The beautiful hotel in spectacular localisation near the lake. I loved the garden there. Meals were tasty. Wellness space was good. I can recommend this place, especially for romantic events like anniversary etc.

Beautiful place. When you sit down in the lobby bar terrace you can hear "quiet". It is so good if you are mother of three little children :-) very nice hotel, good welness and tasty kitchen. Try it!

Very accommodating staff providing safe and top service after the lockdown. All staff wears a mask, everything is regular cleaned, tours of the hanging gardens and delicious food.

A beautiful old historic hotel, with a nice patio and a restaurant. The food is 7 out of 10. Over looking the lake on one side and the forest on the other. Built on a hill, it is a popular tourist destination.

A true gem of the north, the Palota hotel is located in Lillafüred. The nature, the architecture is amazing here. The food is truly great, the staff is professional, helpful and very friendly. Would come here again!
