Trattoria Cardinale Szentendre

Wonderful Italian restaurant overlooking the river. The waiters, really careful and polite, spoke to us in English and also made some jokes in Spanish. I was very surprised by the quality of food at such a good price.

Cardinale is an excellent choice for a lunch outing in Szentendre, providing a cozy ambiance suitable for families or groups of friends. While the pasta wasn't really as expected, the shrimps in the gambari pasta were amazing with its exceptional freshness and delightful flavors. I must also say that the strawberry lemonade was absolutely delicious.

Due to its popularity, I highly recommend making a reservation at least 30 minutes or 1 hour in advance to secure your spot.

If you’re looking for a delicious lunch at Szentendre then you must come to Trattoria Cardinale. You can choose your dishes blinedfolded because all of the dishes are excellent! We order Pizzas, pastas and salad and left the place with a full stomach and a big smile.
Little tip from me, ask for Carlo, he will take a good care of you. Enjoy!

The place is very nice and sometimes their is a live music which is nice. Usually it is full of people and life. The staff are good and friendly which is not that easy to find in Hungary especially if you don't speak Hungarian. The food is tasty, the prices are affordable. Easy to find in ftont of the duna river, paid parking slots nearby. Can be reached for those with wheelchair. The toilets are a bit small.

Good atmosphere, with nice scenery. The food order take a little long waiting time. 😋

Got there just at lunch time and restaurant was almost full. 5 kids and 2 adults were welcomed and we had wonderful lunch with excellent food.

The service is super kind, they care about everything. For lunch or dinner it's better to book a table because usually full. The foods are really tasty and filling. The fruit soup is delicious with a unique serving. The foods were prepared quickly. We had a great time here and the prices are good too. We've seen lot of families here having good time, it's a child friendly place.

Great location in Szetendre overlooking the river. Lots of outdoor seating under awning in comfortable chairs. Pizza was thin and underwhelming, but good for a bite.

Very nice place with the view on Dunaj. Italian-style pizza with thin pizza-dough. Very tasty by the way :)
Delicious pasta with mushroom and good tomato soup. Visited the place during weekdays - no crowds and fast service. I would say the the place is worth coming back. Bon Apetit!

Lovely restaurant with its large terrace looking onto the Danube. Great Italian food, beautifully prepared and with large portions. I was with a very picky Italian who was equally impressed. Will definitely return and recommend to all travelling this way.

You will find one of the best pizzas of the country. The place is pretty small inside, but their knowledge about making pizza is huge. Had two vegetarian options, both were superb.

Excellent service and great food. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The cheese soup is great, but extremely huge portion. Also the prices are reasonable.
