Marzipan Museum

Didn’t check the museum but we had one of the best hot chocolate ever! Service is fast even the place was full, fresh desserts and great atmosphere. Worth to stop here even just for cup of tea in your Szentendre trip! Highly recommended thank you!

Great place to drink tea and eat really tasty cakes. I had the traditional Hungarian Dobos cakes which was very tasty. I also bought sweets to go. You need coins for the toilet... 200 florints, for which they give you a coupon you can use to pay your bill. Good service, great quality... absolutely recommend!

Stunning and super cool museum and store! All of the exhibitions took so long to make and they're so cool to watch! The staff are nice, they offered us free tastes of marcipan which was nice of them

We totally loved it! The place is full of beautiful sculptures made out of marzipan. You'll be surprised by how many hours ot takes to finish each piece and how much they weight. Amazing experience! Recommended!

Incredible place. Wonderful pieces of art made of marzipan. A lot of characters from different fairy tales and cartoons. Great place to visit with children.
The museum is about an hour way from Budapest but there is no problem to get there by the train.
The museum is situated in an interesting small town which is also good to walk through.

Prices for sweets there much better then in Budapest

We tried the famous Dobos Cake, the one that has orange color candy on top. Perfect match with black coffee. There is paid toilet for 200forint as of this writing. It is clean. Very good 👍 Don't forget to get bring coins to use the toilet. And get the receipt afterwards. You can use the receipt to buy something inside the store. Hope this helps.

Small, but interesting and beautiful museum with sculptures made of Marzipan. There are few rooms on the second floor with marzipan exhibition. Each marzipan art has a sign with an information about it, weight, amount of spent hours. On the first floor there is a marzipan shop.

This review is about the Coffee shop. We had wonderful coffee and cake outside under the parasoles. They have a huge selection and the quality is superb. If you need to visit the toilet it will cost you 200 florib

Such a nice experience! The cakes there are so delicious and they're not even that pricey. We also had coffee and it was also really good. Can't really think of anything that bothered me.
We visited Szamos in Szentendre twice and both of the waitresses were so nice to us and they spoke English really well. Such a good service. Thank you very much, we'll certainly come back someday!

A real treat: Hungarian art objects ( some of them life-sized) made out of the country-wide known and beloved brand of chocolates made of almond paste!!! After the museum visit, you can have one of their famous icecreams or patisserie in their coffeehouse that is attached to the museum.
