Grand Villa Argentina has it all! We went for a week and it felt like a luxury holiday.

The staff were super useful - they will help you with your luggage, offer you tea/coffee at breakfast and help you with anything you may need. They even helped us contact our transfer when he was late to pick us up on our last day.

The room was fantastic, it was spacious with great air conditioning and an upmarket feel. The tap water is also fine to drink, saving you a lot of money on bottled water. You can also fill up at breakfast if you need.

The amenaties were great. In particular, we really enjoyed sitting by the pool and relaxing. As a bonus, the hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the beautiful old town (although you do have to pay a 'city tax' when you leave but it's well worth it).

Overall, we believe that Grand Villa Argentina has the makings of a 5 star hotel. We loved our time there and would highly recommend it.

A beautiful hotel, 10 minutes walk from Dubrovnik Old Town. On arrival, we were given a highly appreciated room upgrade which provided a sea view and balcony. While the room was on the small side, it was very comfortable. The decor was a little dated, but clearly was of high quality and in good condition which gave the rooms some character. I would highly recommend requesting to stay in the original part of the hotel, if possible.

The hotel grounds have some beautiful terraced gardens, at the bottom of which is a sea-water pool and access to the sea.

The staff were very friendly, particularly those that worked at the terrace restaurant.

A true 5 star hotel. The service, views and food were all amazing. A private beach with great views of old town and surrounds. 10 minute walk to old town. A stay we will never forget.

Amazing experience here! It was our first hotel out of three and we were tired and annoyed after my bag was lost in the Netherlands but right when we walked in we were greeted by smiles and an absolutely stunning view which got us in better moods. The service was amazing, the pool on the ocean was incredible and the drinks were great! One of my favorite hotels ever.

Really amazing service and seamless check in procedures. Also I got complimentary upgraded to a suite which is very welcoming as a first time visitor to Dubrovnik. Cleanliness and hospitality is beyond expectation. The best hotel in Dubrovnik with an exquisite ancient garden and pool with old town view which is the best view of the town. Will stay here again next time!

My husband, daughter and I stayed here in the summer of 2017. Our room was beautiful, with a a large veranda overlooking the sea. The breakfast was amazing, and the seaside pool beautiful! Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations and experience at other European luxury hotels. My husband retires in 4 years and the first place we want to visit is Dubrovnik and stay at this hotel.

My wife and I stayed at The Hotel Grand Villa Argentina for three nights 27th /30th October 2022.
The hotel and staff exceeded our expectations in many ways.
The hotel staff desk and service staff were exceptional in their courtesy and their willingness to ensure we had a comfortable and pleasant stay.
The room we had was light and airy and was well appointed, it came with a fabulous view of the sea and the nearby island of Lokrum.
The food was excellent. the breakfast menu was very well stocked and the attending staff were again polite and courteous.
My wife and I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this hotel to others and we both hope to return to this hotel next year for a longer stay.

The nicest place to stay in the area (Excelsior looked great too, but more modern). A 5 minute walk to the fort with small shops and bars along the way. Awesome property with lots of little spots to check out.

Grand Villa Argentina in Dubrovnik is an absolute paradise! The staff's helpfulness and kindness added a personal touch to my stay. Diving into the crystal-clear ocean from the private beach was exhilarating. The serene garden offered a tranquil escape for quiet walks. Perfect! Our room overlooked the Adriatic Sea with a view of the Old Town. The hotel is first class all the way. The gardens are lovely, the hotel sits high up on a terraced lot with huge trees and manicured gardens over looking the pool and “beach” area. There is a swimming area which is reached from a platform at the swimming pool. Staff is fabulous! It’s a short walk to the Old Town. The fitness center was small but adequate. We got a good work out in. I would love to stay here again!

Brilliant hotel 5 minutes walk from the old town. Breakfast was huge and a great choice so something for everyone. We had a basic standard sea view room and it was perfect. No need to upgrade to the larger rooms they didn't appear much better. The service and reception staff with the waiters and door men were fantastic, couldn't be more helpful.
On leaving I left some things in a draw in my room (108) it was disappointing to find that a pair of blue leggings had been taken when the cleaners returned my items. My fault for leaving them in the first place I suppose.
Due to this sad experience on leaving we wouldn't return, we didn't let the cleaners into our room on anyother occasion thankfully. Not the reputation the hotel would wanting sure. Perhaps this needs addressing.
Other than this it was a pleasant stay, but I would be wary of letting anyone into y9ur room if you have valuables.

The Grand Villa Argentina is a fantastic 5 star luxury hotel to spend your time at whilst in Dubrovnik.

We have just completed a weeks stay at this hotel and from the moment of arrival to us departing it has been an all round first class experience.

Located on the Southern side of Dubrovnik Old Town, a 25 minute car journey from the airport and a short 10 minute stroll in to the Old Town itself. The location of The Grand Villa is perfect, set in a very peaceful part of town and sited on a beautiful cliff side over looking the Adriatic Sea and the island of Lockrum.

The hotel oozes class and sophistication but most importantly, it is not stuffy and overly formal. Set in extensive grounds that must be explored otherwise you will definitely miss out on some hidden gems the hotel has to offer. Beautiful gardens with plenty of hidden sitting areas are waiting to be found.

The Grand Villa also boasts its own private bathing deck which is located at sea level. Excellent and ample sunbathing areas are available in this area carved out and set within the rocky cliff face. A perfectly sized salt water pool is also available on the bathing deck with its water naturally exchanged by the sea.

The rooms and public areas are great and very well maintained. A wide range of bars, restaurants and quiet areas are also available. This is a hotel you can spend plenty of time at experiencing the many different things it has to offer.

All of the staff we dealt with were excellent, without fault and very fitting to a hotel of this class.

One of the hidden gems you need to find is the Victoria bar. This bar is located below the Victoria restaurant but unless you go and look for it, you won’t find it. This bar is excellent, sophisticated and within a beautiful setting overlooking the sea and Dubrovnik Old Town. Go and spend time here on an evening and watch the most fantastic sun sets and the Old Town light up. One of the other reasons this bar is important to visit is to see Ivan, the chap who runs this bar. Ivan deserves a special mention due to the many times he served and looked after us each time we visited. It is very true that people make an experience and Ivan does just that.

It is impossible to cover everything about this amazing hotel but hopefully the above and photos provided offer a good feel for what it is all about.

Rumour is that the Hotel is due to undergo a 12 month renovation and therefore, closed all next year. Given how impressive this place already is, we cannot wait to visit again probably during 2024 to see how you can improve on something already so good.

All in all….. The Grand Villa Argentina is superb. If you want a first class holiday in Dubrovnik then do not hesitate to book and stay here as you will not regret it one bit.

I have been coming here for years since 2005 and I try to come back every couple of years! I would not stay anywhere else in Dubrovnik!

Very nice hotel with friendly informal staff and a great location/view. Food (breakfast) was better than expected in Croatia, although not up to par with Italian food quality etc. We ordered a room with “garden view” however got sea view from our room, which was unexpected (but positive). Only a short walk (5-10 minutes) to the old town of Dubrovnik.

Grand Villa Argentina has incredible views towards the old Dubrovnik city, beautiful terraced gardens, overlooking to a sea water pool with dedicated beach area. It has that old European charm coupled with an elegant Riviera feel, I am mesmerized! The breakfast is diverse and of good quality, while the rooms are very nicely furnished (appeared recently renovated), although a little bit on the small side.

First day. But the service and I mean everyone has been absolutely fantastic. We are staying half board and quite simply the food has been superb. I was expecting the usual standard fare but this is 1st class. Fantastic location and a short walk to the old city. Definitely recommend

Location location location! Perfect spot within five minutes walk to the old city. The view is AH-MAZING! The staff is wonderful. The pool is perfection. The breakfast is yum. There is just not one bad thing to say about this place.

Loved the quirky upside down aspect - room on 1st floor, dining on 4th, street level on 6th, and sea level pool and terrace though an underground route on zero! Ok - it needs a face-lift but was fine and staff are very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommended.

Fabulous hotel overlooking the sea . Friendly staff , great breakfasts , comfortable rooms and close to the old town .
Walking into town is downhill , walking back can be tiring after a long day , but you can get a cab .
Dubrovnik is a beautiful place with some stunning scenery it is however an expensive resort and doesn't have a great deal to do . Worth a visit though and highly recommend Grand Villa Argentina .
