I had fantastic homemade truffle cheese raviolis and chard. The beer and water was super cold and refreshing. The food came out hot and after it cooled down was super delicious. It did have a family feel to the place, including the resident cat just chilling under the tables. Service was attentive and quick. I highly recommend going here if you are into a good quality, non pretentious resident in Stari Grad!

Really cozy restaurant in Stari Grad. The location is just perfect. Food is great! Definitely worth going here for dinner if you’re visiting Stari Grad on Hvar Island.

Very friendly and super helpful waiter. Very decent food and large portions. We had black risotto, pasta with "fruits of the sea", calamari on grill and octopuss with vegetables. Very acceptable prices are worth mentioning. And it is right in the centre of Stari Grad, the oldest town on Hvar.

Very good service, good food and the relation quality price its perfect! Even cheap for what we ate. We had breaded octopus, cosfish and tuna steak. Its sad to go and not taste all the menu!

Been coming here for years. Anyone who is looking for local, fresh food and fair prices will get what they are looking for. Definitely not an average overpriced tourist restaurant.
Waiters are always up for a friendly chat. If you want to be "pampered" servicewise choose a different place - this is a laid back homely place, where everyone is treated the same.

You always see a lot of locals at the restaurant which by my experience is always a good sign.

P.S: today I ate the octopus salad which counts as a starter. The picture was taken after I've already eaten a third of the portion. Didn't need a main course.

Food is delicious. Very friendly service. But be aware of street flooding during high tide days. Got my feet totally wet after the lunch. What an interesting experience!

Very pleasant atmosphere with very nice waiters and excellent service. Over the years, my husband and I have come few times and have always been satisfied with the food. Excellent value for money. The only drawback is the strong sun on the terrace around 6-7 o'clock, so we can't enjoy in the early dinner :) Other than that, everything is great!

Wonderful experience. We had codfish, pasticada and Zagrebacki steak with lavender cake for dessert. Every dish was wonderfully made, the friendly staff and the quality of slow food with quick dish experience made the whole thing even more memorable. Highly recommended.

Lovely authentic restaurant in a stunning area of stari grad. We had grilled veal and octopus and they were amazing and flavourful. The two mains a side and two drinks cost €40 so very affordable! Staff were lovely, would go here again.

This was my favourite restaurant in Stari Grad last year and have just been there twice in two days this year. It’s still excellent: friendly waiters, quality food, very reasonably priced especially compared to other restaurants nearby. Come for the atmosphere, the homemade pasta, the omelettes and the chocolate cake!

A place to eat. French fries were not the best - but it is not a place to eat french fries I guess.

Bistro offers wide array of foods for an affordable price. The atmosphere and location around the object seem very nice and relaxing. Staff is very polite, at your disposal at all times.

"Pašticada" is the food I ordered and I dont think I am capable of describing the tastiness revolved aroud it. I dont have much experience with this type of food, but it was the best for I am evert tried by now.

I stuck with the foods from "gotova jela" section which I think are the most convenient to have.

In conclusion, Bistro Kod Damira is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it receives. The combination of nice prices, a nice location, very nice food, and a great staff makes it a must-visit for locals and visitors alike. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to enjoy the wonderful dining experience once again.

Excellent food with wide variety of daily dishes. Excellent service and a very relaxed atmosphere.

I was recommended to go and eat here to have authentic food in Stari Grad. I must say I was very satisfied with all the dishes I ordered. Nice quiet atmosphere (not very big), authentic local and Mediterranean food at a very reasonable price and big portions. Local people eating here is a good sign. Quite a wide choice for all tastes. I was here three times and I had octopus and meat dishes. Everything delicious and freshly made. I didn't have squid/calamari, but it's typical of many other places around the Mediterranean sea to serve them whole (let's say not cleaned), all parts are eatable, especially if small. Waiters were very friendly and recommended me alternative while they didn't have all the right ingredients for another local fish dish.

Amazing home made food, reasonable prices, lovely setting and friendly staff. One of the best places we've eaten in the whole island of Hvar. Definitely will be coming back and would recommend this place without a doubt.

Great hommy food, excellent value for money. I've never gotten this small bill on a coas expecially on island. Octopus with veggies is my favourite
