I asked for a hand sanitizer during Covid 19 pandemic and I was offered a 10€ tiny bottle when you can find large bottles for under 2€ in supermarkets. Shame on this place for making provit on tourist especially in these difficult times. I had to ask for her to go to the back on the shop and find me a "normal" bottle of 70% alcohol instead.

Foreign visitors should definitely give this pharmacy a miss!

The young woman in this pharmacy lacks not only a few inter-personal skills but also up-to-date information on the current [January 2022] Covid situation. My ‘encounter’ re obtaining a digital Covid certificate went something like this:

Me: Here’s my passport.
Her: What’s your OIB? I need an OIB.
Me: I’m a foreign tourist. I have neither an OIB nor an MBO.
Her: I need an OIB.
Me: I’m a foreign tourist. I don’t need an OIB.
Her: I can’t open the system without an OIB. Go to your doctor and get help there.
Me: I’m a foreign tourist. I do not have a local doctor.
Her: Go to another pharmacy then. I don’t want to be rude, but there’s nothing more I can do for you. [With that, she turned and walked away.]

I wonder if she’ll ever realise that she cannot hide ignorance behind hostility!

Foreigners who are vaccinated in Croatia and do not have an OIB or are not Croatian citizens outside the territory of the Republic of Croatia can obtain an EU digital covid certificate only for vaccines received in the Republic of Croatia.
