I recently visited the VR museum "Diocletian's Dream" in Split and had an absolutely amazing experience! The virtual reality tour of Diocletian's Palace was incredibly immersive and brought history to life in a way that traditional museums simply can't. The detail and accuracy of the virtual reconstructions were astonishing, making it feel like I was truly walking through ancient Roman times.

One of the best aspects is that the experience is perfect for those who don't have a lot of time to spend in Split. You can complete the tour in about 15 minutes, making it a convenient and efficient way to dive into the city's rich history. Additionally, they offer the experience in several languages, which is really cool and very creative. It makes the museum accessible to a wide range of visitors from around the world.

The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, providing excellent guidance and support throughout the experience. They clearly have a passion for history and technology, which made the visit even more enjoyable.

Whether you're a history buff, a tech enthusiast, or just looking for a unique way to explore Split's heritage, I highly recommend "Diocletian's Dream." It's an unforgettable journey through time that you won't want to miss!

Great experience. Short and sweet with a good overall explanation. Interesting to either have been or to go afterwards to the Palace and explore. Extremely well done (naturally, as its led by an Irish man!). Good fun. I would definitely go to more VR experiences after this. I went at the start of the season but would definitely recommend booking to avoid disappointment, especially for any group over 2 people

This was our first virtual reality experience, and it was incredible. The headset technology and virtual experience were fantastic. In addition, The story of Diocletian and Palace were very interesting. Having spent considerable time within the Palace walls over several visits, the virtual tour provided a visual and perspective not seen before—that is, what the Palace actually would have looked like in 2nd-3rd century AD.

The experience is well worth the visit and price. The only downside for us is the show only lasts 15 minutes, and we wish the experience was longer. We highly recommend Diocletian’s Dream, and will visit them again if and when given the chance.

I’d highly recommend making this your first stop. The VR experience is short, ~15 mins, costs $12 euro, VR wasn’t the realest and greatest. But it is super cool to see how the palace used to look like before actually going back, so that you have a sense of how grand the palace was. They also have iPhone and Android charges in the waiting room with plenty of seats. They would also hold your luggage by the reception as you do the VR experience.

This was a great experience and unmissable way to see the palace site in its historical context. It really helps before or after going to the real Diocletian’s palace and it will blow you away.

The staff were great- especially the blonde woman at the front desk and Tommo. Thanks guys for a great experience !

All four of our group enjoyed this presentation. The 3D is cool but it also shows accurately what the palace looked like in its hay day. Well worth the 12 Euros.

The VR experience is absolutely lovely. I would recommend visiting this place before visiting the actual Palace, as it can give one a better understanding of what they're seeing in real life. The guide was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
*If you're not into history, this experience might still be for you because the guide (Deco) is really a pleasure to look at and listen to.

Such a fun experience! We did this before we walked around the palace which gave us a great visual and story line of what we saw in person. The experience also had some humor. A must do!

A truly amazing experience! It allows you to visualise what the Diocletians Palace looked like in the ancient time… and it’s absolutely stunning! The experience was also educational and gave a solid history of Diocletian’s life. This greatly complements or can even replace a walking tour in the comfort of an air conditioned room. A must do in Split and an opportunity to explore the palace without the summer heat!

Great experience. Friendly staff, cheap compared to much in Split (€12 for adults, but discount with Split card). As other reviews say, go here before the palace and other stuff as it makes them much better

Fantastic experience - well worth your time as the Virtual Reality experience brings to life the Old City and Diocletians Palace brilliantly. Superbly animated to suit both adults and children. The staff were superb and very friendly and we all loved it. In high season I buy tickets online (check it out online if you want to see more at the website.

The experience uses VR so size, age, mobility is not a problem.

If you book your slot there is little or no waiting time irrespective of time of year or how busy it is.

Amazing re-creation of life in Roman times in Diocletian's Palace. For us, it brought the ruins we walked through to life. I say it's essential to see to better understand the Palace. Well done!

It was an enjoyable time with kids. A good historical fact and a trip through the ancient town. I would recommend going to watch before seeing the remains of Old Town.

Excellent service with friendly staff. The VR experience was incredible and extremely interesting. Provided an amazing insight into what the palace would have looked like in the 3rd/4th century AD and the life/intentions of a famous late Roman emperor

This is truly a unique experience. The owner is originally from Ireland and very friendly. The place is clean and conveniently located across from the park near the golden gate. The experience lasts for 15 minutes and offered in a variety of languages. Must see for a unique experience. Tip. 20% discount for split card holders.

The Host was so welcoming and informative. The process was simple and easy. The VR experience was amazing, funny at times and cinemagraphically professional. I recommend seeing Diocletians Palace first then enjoying the VR tour so you can compare it to what you've already seen. If you haven't been on an organised tour of the Palace, you will learn a lot more about Diocletion himself here. I loved the whole thing.
