Secure parking. Best bathroom layout and shower out of 20 places I have stayed at in Guatemala. Breakfast was good. AC was fully operational. A lot of children noise but whose fault is that?

We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful property on the lake with an amazing view. The food was very good but service was slow but we did enjoy that the restaurant was open very late. We really enjoyed a cold drink in the restaurant watching the lightning over the lake. The air conditioning in the rooms worked very well. We had an issue with our room flooding due to heavy rain but the staff was very helpful in getting us another room and helped us pack all our items and move them to the new room. Highly recommend.

Beautiful clean resort. Had to fight for hot water at times and the pillow was rather hard but overall this place was pleasant. Two clean pools made it easy to avoid large crowds. Big dining area and delicious menu is a plus but watch the prices as they can quickly stack up. The price per room is on the high side but it’s compensated with the free, tasty breakfast. Highly recommended, I can see myself coming back to this place.

P.S. did I mentioned the poolside service?

Absolutely AMAZING!! Holiday Vacation never looked so good. After a wrong turn and being stuck in mud for over 2hrs and several hotels with denial of help later; we got a hold of Banana Palms Hotel, Resort & Marina’s guest attendant which went above and beyond to not only help us with accommodations but helped us getting our car tow at no cost!! I was in tears after we were finally safe and sound in villa with my family. A big shout out to their outstanding staff, food, amenities and more. Price is unbelievable cheap for a Resort.
So if you’re in the area looking to have a great time in a luxurious place at a decent price? This is the place to be. Muchísimas gracias al Personal de este Resort y su Gerente!!

The room was clean, bathroom was clean, nicely maintained grounds, lovely views, and the service was very kind and professional. The only improvement I would make is to reduce the intensity of the perfume smell that smacked us in the face when we walked in the room. Reminded me of that lady in church that you knew was there 50 meters before you saw her.

Wonderful little spot! Will be back!

Wow.. just wow... pulling up into the little town, you would have no idea this little gem existed here. Its right on the lake, breathtaking views and tons of activities to do. We took a boat ride to Livingston and made multiple stops on the way. Rooms were spacious, restrooms clean, great for larger groups and so much to offer. They even gave us a parting gift! Would highly recommend staying here!

Pro's:
- the amazing setting of the hotel: nice garden in front of the lake. Great sunrise on the morning
- the facilities: two large swimming pools and one jacuzzi. They are cleaned every day. We used them all the time, was really relaxing after a long trip in Guatemala.
- the rooms are big and very clean. Cleaning of the room every day and new free bottles of water at disposition.
- good breakfast
- you can also swim in the lake and use the kayaks for free.
You can ask the water taxi drivers from Livingston to drop you at the hotel, they will do it for free.

Con's:
- the high prices of the restaurant for the food. There are not a lot of restaurants nearby so they take advantage of it.
- the personnel is very nice but the majority do not speak English.

My Family and I had a great experience, from the moment we stepped in til we got out. The location is perfect, it's in town and almost next door to El Castillo de San Felipe Nice hotel with beautiful views and really wonderful amenities, A/C, hot tubs, chill spots, the place is clean and quite. I had a free trip in Kayak courtesy of Banana Palms Hotel beacause I booked 2 rooms, I hope I'll visit again soon.

Great place to bring family and have a great time. It is the best hotel arround by far. Boat trips from USD 50.00 up to 300. Jet Ski's for rent from USD40.00. Food os very good, specially Tapado a local sea food soup with coconut and plantine. Very close to San Felipe's Castle.
