Hotel Casa Escondida

We were here during our stay in Livingston. Excellent place, excellent owners which were fully supportive. We ordered even local breakfast for 40Q which was excellent starter of the day. Except for hot water, AC and pool, there is one more benefit - an open cooler with bottles of beer with the self-service regime, one can take beer and write his consumption in the paper. 👍 So I would recommend to accommodation to everybody.

I loved this hotel. The view is amazing, the owners (Gloria and Gonzalo) are really nice people. They also have very friendly staff. They made me feel like home; they were so attentive. A really pleasant experience. Food is amazing, view is spectacular, rooms are clean. The hotel is small but cozy. You also have AC which is much appreciated.

A wonderful and hidden hotel with hamacs, a swimming pool and AC. It's a bit more costly than other options in the city but it's much more comfortable and quiet while being just 5mn on foot from the muelle where the boats are.
The owner Gloria does everything she can to make it a wonderful trip and offers tours in the country (do the Cueva del Tigre but don't forget your swimsuit!) and awesome advice on visits and restaurants. She's awesome!
There's an optional breakfast at 30Q that you should definitely do as it's customized to your liking and you eat it with a wonderful view of the bay and city.
The laundry service is 40Q.
If you can, get room 1 as it has the best view and a balcony! Otherwise room 4 also has a great view.
If you hesitate, just go! You won't regret it! We spent 4 wonderful days here

I enjoyed my stay at Casa Escondida because it truly feels like you are at home. Gloria and Gonzalo are an adorable couple who take care of your every need at their place. The structure is amazing and the rooms are cozy and comfortable. For 30Q, approximately $6, they make a delicious breakfast with fresh, delicious coffee. Can’t wait to comecback!!

We loved our stay here! A beautiful view from our air conditioned bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The breakfast was quite good, as well. The owner speaks Spanish and English, and was friendly and helpful. It is quite a unique house, and added a lot of character to our stay.

Wow, what a view! And a lovely, new, clean and comfortable place to stay, perfectly located. The hosts are incredibly helpful, going out of their way to get any travel information you need. They are truly friendly, genuine people who you can sit and chat with if you like, but will stay out of your way if you want your space.
By far the best accommodation we've stayed in while travelling through Guatemala.

These are lovely accommodations and centrally located close to Livingston's main dock. Gloria is an honest and caring hostess. The rooms are clean and modern, and there is a pretty view of the bay from the dining area. Guests have access to purified water in the kitchen.

Wonderful and aptly named. Sweet room and excellent 1st class bathroom. Rammed earth tire integrated in the construction and they collect rainwater from the roof design. Ask the owner about his work if you're into green projects.

Beautiful hotel, very comfortable (beside not having air conditioner), clean, graet view! The owners are very good people! Extrimely helpful, generous, kind and freindly!

Notre chambre avait une vue imprenable sur la mer, et elle était très bien aménagée. Gloria était adorable et très réactive sur WhatsApp.
Il est possible de dîner sur place, et je vous le recommande car la nourriture était délicieuse.
L'emplacement était très bien également, légèrement en retrait de la rue principale.
Bref, tout était parfait. En espérant revenir un jour !

Un lugar súper bonito, limpio y agradable. Tuvimos suerte de encontrarlo, las instalaciones son muy bonitas, Gloria y Gonzalo son unos anfitriones increíbles hicieron de nuestra estadía lo más bonito. Habitaciones con aire acondicionado, toallas y baño limpio, opción a desayuno a partir de los Q40 y son deliciosos. Lo recomiendo!!!

Tolles Hotel mit sehr freundlichem und zuvorkommenden Service. Die Lage ist sehr gut, mit tollen Blick über die Bucht von Livingston. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans la Casa Escondida, en y séjournant 2 nuits, avec notre bébé de 2 ans.

Gloria nous a bien accueillis dès l'arrivée.

L'hôtel surplombe la baie, on y jouit d'une très belle vue. L'emplacement est idéal car on est à une rue à l'écart de la rue principale, donc au calme, tout en restant tout proche de l'animation.

Plusieurs chambres à différents niveaux.

La chambre était confortable, et équipée comme il faut.

Nous avons pris un petit déjeuner qui était bon, sur la terrasse qui plus est.

Je recommande cette adresse !

Après le super séjour que j'ai passé je ne peux que recommander cet hôtel.

Nous avions la chambre no1 avec une superbe vue sur la mer. La chambre était parfaite avec une clim, une douche avec eau bien chaude, des moustiquaires aux fenêtres, un mini frigo et un balcon. Les serviettes et savons étaient fournis. La chambre était faite chaque jour.

Gloria était vraiment aux petits soins. Toujours disponible pour nous aider et nous conseiller sur les activités, elle appelait pour prendre les informations pour nous. Elle nous a organisé un tour à la Cueva del Tigre. Elle faisait tout pour nous accommoder et qu'on se sente bien.

L'hôtel propose pas mal de perstations:
Le petit dej était très bon. On avait chaque jour le choix de ce qu'on voulait manger et on le prenait avec une super vue donc au top pour commencer la journée.
On s'est posé plusieurs fois dans les hamacs sur la terrasse.
On a pu laver nos affaires et ils étaient secs et prêts en fin de journée.
Enfin, il n'y avait aucun bruit. L'hôtel n'étant pas directement sur la Calle principale, on n'entendait pas le bruit des tuk tuk et autres véhicules. Pour autant, on accède à la Calle principale en moins de 5 minutes à pieds donc c'est parfait pour sortir le soir.

Bref nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans un très bel endroit pour se ressourcer.

Incroyable endroit pour y séjourner !! Vue magnifique sur la baie et le village. La chambre est propre, lumineuse et confortable. Wifi très bon et petit déjeuner aussi.
La piscine est parfaite pour vous rafraîchir.

Bello lugar bien ubicado con vista a Rio Dulce en Livingston. Muy tranquilo. Aire acondicionado. No se asuste si al llegar no ve el hotel sino un edificio grande que parece bodega. El hotel hace honor a su nombre está a sólo pasos de allí.
