Charlestina Beach Resort

Beautiful place. If you are looking for rest and relaxation, this is the place for you. Beautiful well-kept beach, with a wonderful backdrop. You can swim well in the sea. Rooms clean and well-kept. Fine food, is freshly prepared and therefore takes a little longer. The waiters draw attention to this and take the order early enough. They are very guest-oriented and try to fulfill all wishes, prepared and organized meals that were not on the menu. They are working on a pool that looks like it should be ready in a few weeks.

A perfect location for a weekend getaway or a vacation away from the city. Calm and serene environment 👍

What a beautiful place. We really needed some days to recharge, this place was perfect. The staff is friendly and they try to fulfill every wish. They extra organised soya milk for us. The beach view is stunning, we enjoyed breakfast there and the beach towels are huge :). It’s possible to swim in the sea. They are building a pool. The place and the rooms are clean. the food is freshly made so is normal that it takes a while, the waiters are informing and its also mentioned in the menu. The food is delicious especially the pizza & fish. We definitely are coming back.

It will take 2 hours to get dinner after you order, so plan accordingly. The resort and beach are beautiful. The road to get there is very, very rough.

We loved it here! Highly highly recommend you stay here and dine here. It's a little remote and far to get to, driving down winding paved and dirt roads, but it's worth the journey.

The first thing you notice is that it's peaceful and quiet. It's very beautiful and the living areas are very clean and modern-feeling on the inside. You don't usually expect much in Ghana where lodging is concerned but the room had a working air-condition, fan, and fridge, and the bathroom had great water pressure and hot water. We were traveling with a baby so all these amenities made him very comfortable too.

There aren't many cabins and there weren't many guests the weekend we stayed so it was never really busy. However, the staff treated us and the few other guests like we were the most important people there. They always asked if our room needed cleaning, and what we might want for lunch and dinner in advance (continental breakfast was included). The food was delicious, everything from the grilled snapper and fried plantains, the grilled barracuda and yam chips, the seafood goulash, and the burgers.

We also enjoyed dinning and walking along the beach. We really enjoyed our stay, and as an international traveler I appreciated the convenience of making payments for our stay both with mobile money for the reservation and with my visa credit card for the remainder.

Very nice resort, chalets are well spaced, rooms are nice and cozy, bed was very comfortable. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The scenery is beautiful. Only downside, if you don't have your own mode of transport, it can be very expensive if you want to go into town.

We arrived with a large group and our host went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. All the kids in the group had a lot of fun playing on the beach and their playground. The grounds are kept beautifully and staff is very friendly. Would definitely come again as well as recommend to others.

This place is a very cozy, peaceful and welcoming place. It is definitely in a class above the surrounding resorts and well worth the value.

Rooms are chalet style and you will definitely not share space with more than one other guest. Privacy is assured. Beach is clean and tidy. Food is good. Staff and very friendly and accommodating and big ups to Sandra for accommodating our requests. We will definitely do well to recommend to all we know. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return for peace and quiet.

Great lodging. The staff is nice and polite. Best breakfast I had during my entire stay. The food was great and the beach was quaint but sweet. I really enjoyed my time abd the wild life I observed. The turkeys were so big. I will definitely go back.

My wife and I enjoyed our honeymoon at Charlestina Beach Resort. Our chalet was tastefully decorated on arrival and it simply blew us away. The food was amazing! Breakfast was so satisfying and the lunch/dinner menu had many options to choose from. Unlike other places, every meal on the menu was available. The waitress, Tina, was really friendly and accommodating of all our requests. This resort is indeed a home away from home and we will definitely be back. We highly recommend this place!

I loved the location once you arrived.
It was a really deteriorated roadway to get there. Once that's repaired, it would be paradise!

A class above it's surrounding neighbours. Beach side and plenty of trees to make the place feel natural.

A good place for destination events and getaways. Do well to come prepared with supplies you might need such as toiletries and other personal items you may be particular about.

Interior decor also good.

My wife and I stayed at this resort in Feb 2019 with a Tour Group of 11--what an awesome property--right on the beach. Staff/Owner did everything possible to accommodate our needs and wishes; someone in our group wanted to go fishing one night owner made all the necessary arrangements and he even accompanied them on their expedition. The property boasts individual cottages which affords you maximum privacy; rooms are well appointed and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay so much, we did not want to leave, however, we will be back at Charlestina very soon, within this year. Would recommend this property without any hesitation.

A new resort, rooms are new, safe and clean. Stayed a few days, right along the beach. Staff was always willing to help. Food is excellent, but a little slows to be served. The owners are always there to greet you and to assure that your stay is great.”

Huge menu and wide selection, tasty food

Beach is clean but if you want to swim, you may want to walk 50 meters or so to do that so, waves are pretty strong in front of the hotel's beach.

This place is very good for the price, I would strongly recommend to give it a try!

Very nice place, comfy beds, very clean and cosy rooms, everything works, quiet AC , fridge etc. Great stay, best resort compared to their neighbours.

Wonderfully relaxed resort to stay in, with great attentive and helpful staff, particularly Dixon, Tina and Elizabeth. Beach, activities and large bar/restaurant and good menu, all hosted by the lovely Charles. It's also worth staying here for the fantastic gardens alone, and all the beautiful plants.

This place is great. Good food, nice environment, friendly staff. They provide board games and also Badminton... The beach is clean with free beach beds and shade. Breakfast is filing. I really enjoyed my stay. It's worth every penny.

I really loved my stay out here and I am surely doing a return there. They had been opened for 4 months and the place was truly amazing. Oh and the food was so delicious you would keep eating. Plus the seafood literally comes from the fishermen right close to the resort. The chalet was really spacious and nice and clean. The morning fresh air was breath taking and great.
If you're in Elmina, I would recommend this place to you all who need a chill place to keep cool and get away.

I loved every bit of my stay. The only minus, as others have already said, is the waiting time for food. I will surely visit again very soon
